It is yes, it took as long as it did due to it being a Canadian fleet order and our 2021 fleet pricing that I originally order with is much better than the 2022 so was willing to wait.
Mine is a Canadian fleet vehicle originally ordered in March 2021 and just received VIN last week. Ram chat won't be able to assist since it's a Canadian order, they just advise you to contact the dealer you ordered through so the only way to get an update (if there is one) is to know which...
After 14 months (yes you read that right, 14!) I have moved from BG purgatory to C status. A long way from having a truck built, or scheduled, but at least it's something! It is a fleet order as well as Canadian so a lot of things working against me for it to take the 14 months.
I'm in the same boat, ordered a 2021 last March, bumped into a 2022 shortly after, still no VIN assigned. Priority will be given to where they make money, fleet vehicles are at the bottom of that list.
There are a few of us in here with fleet orders waiting on VIN assignments and according to my dealer, they're finally seeing some lower trim fleet trucks getting assigned VINs as of last week.
Company I work for has a fleet program through FCA which is a simple $ off invoice pricing. I have been pestering my dealer about the "BG status" it is in and found out it is mostly because it is a fleet order and not retail. I will be sure to update the group(s) when/if I get an update on the...
MY 2022 order went in June 4th in Alberta, still no VIN. My dealer is telling me a similar story with the restricted options / low volume options. I check in with him every few weeks and expects a VIN soon...wishful thinking at this point!
I definitely am NOT sure. Appreciate the comments and advice, I'll see if I can follow up with some sort of assurance from Stellantis directly, but being a Canadian order doesn't help as everyone I speak to in support just kicks me back to my dealer.
If I was in a hurry for the truck I would look at canceling and re-ordering but I'm not and I retain the price protection from the 2021 which saves me a few grand and gets me the options I originally ordered. Going to watch for a few weeks as the dealer mentioned I should see a VIN assigned by then.
My order is a carry over from a 2021 and my understanding is some of the options on my POC from my original order are not supposed to be available in my trim for 2022 without certain packages (that I don't have). I really have no reason to be in a rush other than wanting my new truck and I have...
Yes I do have a POC w/ a VON. Just spoke with the dealer as well, no VIN as of yet. Tried Ram Chat to try to understand what the delay is, but since the order is from Canada they wouldn't help and support up here just told me to contact my dealer.
Any Canadians on here actually have a 2022 VIN? My original 2021 order was May 19th, updated 2022 order went in June 4th and currently in "BG - Order has passed edit but cannot be considered for scheduling". No vin issued.
