I wish those were AMP steps. These are the Mopar steps for the quad cab. Did t need to shorten them. The AMP steps I had on my 15’ did need to be shortened. I would recommend them over the Mopar ones. They are so much faster than the OEM steps.
I went with 1.5” all around. Would have liked to do the 1.25” in the front with 1.5” in the back. Used the Stahl steel spacers as I don’t fully trust aluminum for a spacer like this.

I’m using the Daystar upper pucks and I modified the sensor brackets to level it out. I think it was right around two inches gained. Nothing done in the rear.
It sounds like you got into the upper rpm range on the intake manifold. There is a door inside the intake that switches the runner length at around 3500. It does make a different sound on the intake side when that happens. If you never get into that rpm range then maybe the door was stuck and it...
I’m running 35x12.5x20 DC tires on the stock wheels with 1.5” spacers and a level on my air suspension. Had to heat up the inner fender wells slightly.
I was told that it was a known problem and that Chrysler is working on a solution. That was months ago and I see that people are still having my same issue now with no cure or cause found.
I ended up going with DC Trail Country EXP tires in 35x12.5x20 on my stock rims with a level. At first they were very slippery in the wet, but they have worn in and are working very well.
