    Rattle noise from engine

I know this post is way old but this might help others. I had the same problem and my mechanic thought i was nuts. It could be replicated in very specific conditions but it was tough to get him to hear it. Turns out, there was a bolt/screw in my front brake assembly that had walked out and was...

    Exhaust Manifold Cracked

Mine had a broken manifold bolt that ticked on cold start. It was a pretty easy fix for the shop and covered under warranty just before my warranty ran out. I found it by blowing a shop vac up the exhaust and spraying soapy water around the manifold. Seems like a common problem.

    Speedometer calibration

Waze, while connected, shows different mph for me. I just went to 295/70 and I’m off by 5 mph at 70. Bigger tires and waze is reading that I’m going faster than the dash which would make sense.

Toyo Open Country AT3 vs RT (Good Read)

I rolled with the Toyo OC RT’s. I was comparing them to nitto ridge grapplers and liked the heavier construction on Toyo. I think I read that the toyo rt is built on an off-road tire and the nittos are built on an AT tire. Both seemed great. I just decided to try the Toyo. At3 does seem popular...

Toyo Open country RT on rebel

The stock tires were toast at 50k. I didn’t rotate because… I’m wasteful and dumb. The fronts had some life left on them. Anyway, I just got the new ones installed and I cannot believe how bad the road noise had become on my old tires. I guess I didn’t notice as it crept up over time. It’s...

    Installing the best bed cover

Yup. Works like a charm. The only time any water at all gets in is a few drips in the car wash.

    Installing the best bed cover

Here it is on top. A little pucker factor but it’s a sweet setup.

    Bed Lighting Kit

My kit was already wired at the lights so I had to run my wires from the bed back. I installed two 4-light strands. I used the gap right under the bed rail near the cab. Ran straight down to the frame and to the cab. There are two plastic covers under the rear seats on both sides of the truck. I...

    Bed Lighting Kit

When removing the trim a flat head screwdriver pressed on the white tabs might prevent you from breaking the tab I broke. Once the outer trim is removed you have to pull the plastic house in up and toward you to reveal the harness. Cut the zip tie off the harness and locate the white wire with...

    Bed Lighting Kit

Swapped the cargo lights with led bulbs and it resolved the issue. I’m also going to upload some more pictures of the install for those who had questions about installing theirs.

    Bed Lighting Kit

Swapping to led cargo lamps should cut their draw by 15 watts.

    Bed Lighting Kit

I don’t know what the stock cargo lights use but there are 8 led pods, 6 diodes per panel, each diode is supposed to draw about .18 watts... so .18x6x8 is 8.64 watts. I’m wondering if it’s a can bus issue. I’m going to swap the incandescent cargo lamps. They draw more than the whole led array...

    Bed Lighting Kit

I didn’t place them under the bed rails yet. Too cold for the tape.

    Bed Lighting Kit

Install went great. I took some extra pictures of where I ran the wire and installing a t-tap. I’m having an issue though. I installed an 8-pod led kit. Looks awesome but after a minute or so it acts like the computer shuts it down. The cargo light, an bed light turn off, then flash on briefly...

What did you do to your Ram today???

It’s got a rubber seal that goes around the whole bed. We had flood inducing rains this weekend and the bed was bone dry. Can’t speak to the ram box variation but no water whatsoever in mine.

    Speakers in my Rebel

I’ll be swapping the dash, doors and added a sub. Swapping the amp is a no go though. I want to preserve the noise cancellation so I’m stuck with the stock amp. Need to research the ohm at each location so I don’t lose volume. Bed lighting first though, it’s dark back there. :-)

    Awesome Console Safe...

I think these look good for someone just needing to dump a ccw in before entering a gun free zone. I’m still trying to find a rapid deployment option. I’m really impressed with vaultek options for the home. Hopping for a nice car option soon. A barrel down quick deployment option would be awesome.

    Installing the best bed cover

It’s been nasty here. Should be able to load it up in the next couple of days.
