    Firestone destination x/t

I'm 95% happy with the tires. road noise was my main complaint on the duratracks, specially pass 60k miles. ride quality is much better, that bounce i mentioned is a good thing. at first i was getting improved 1 mpg, but then after a month or so, my average mpg went back to normal (23 to 25...

    Firestone destination x/t

i have them on my rebel and have been happy with 10k miles. a lot less noise compared to the oem duratrack, i replaced mine at 75k miles. it seems more bouncy but leans less on tight turns if that makes sense. i know that in my logic, if it's bouncy, then it should lean more. no change in...

    Just bit on an ecodiesel

doing your own fuel filter is easy. i can slide under the truck to do my oil and fuel filter, and that's with side steps installed. would it be easier if it's raised a little, hell yeah!!

    Tire chains

i got the autotrac snow chains (s class) due to the ease of installation. but they do come awfully close to the brake lines. some snow chains have flexible bungee tensioner that cross the rim that may shift as you drive. at least with these ratcheting tensioner, the shifting chances are...

Ok how many here have 0 problems with eco D

74k miles, no major problem. the only complaint i have is the leaking rear window (fixed with a $10 sealant from Lowe's) and a bad fm radio reception.

    Both Key Fobs stopped “working”

by any chance have you checked the back seat area for any water intrusion? specifically the back seat back rest area? or even the floor? if it's wet... chances are, you rf module has shorted. I really hope this is not your issue. or have you changed any lights to after market led? some...

    Tire chains

i know a few people that lives in the north that has 2 sets of wheels. 1 set for winter (stud tires) & another set with normal tires. snow covered roads i can handle, but dealing with icy roads scares me.

    Tire chains

i read a long time ago that tire chains messes with the way ABS brakes operate. some even suggest to turn off the ABS when snow chains are installed & pump the brakes if needed if ur vehicle losses traction when braking.

The dreaded leaking and cracked rear window frame

generally, i don't like encasing an electronic item in an air tight case due to temperature ventilation, but I'm not sure if that hub even gets that hot to require ventilation. also, if the leak is fixed properly, there shouldn't be any need for a water proof case, otherwise u would also need...

The dreaded leaking and cracked rear window frame

i bought it at Lowe's & it seems to be holding up 5 months. let's see if it can handle 110+ summer temperatures in a few months.

    Rear window leak

i agree with u 100% that the manufacturers and/or engineers need to get a better design and/or fix to this reoccurring 5 yr old rear window leak issue. but sometimes, a $10 fix (sealant) for a $2000 problem (window replacement) is better. not counting the wasted time of back & forth...

    DEF injector cleaning

it's easy to remove & reinstall. it's 1 C-clamp with 1 bolt. the whole evolution took me 10 to 15 min. i don't mind cleaning the injector when i reach 100k miles. someone ran platinum def on their truck for 30k miles & said there were no def crust/residue on the injectors.

    Rebel towing springs

rebels sits a little higher than other 1500s & as much as i like this truck, i hate how much the back sags with the bed loaded (I've loaded 800 lbs - 10 bags of concrete) & I'm looking at the sky (exaggerated) i think airbags are the easiest & convenient way to assist & help minimize that sag...

    Rebel towing springs

from my understanding on the way payload is rated on these vehicles (not just ram, but vehicles in general), the payload is limited to the frame & axle combination of safe max weight capability. changing the suspension to a heavier duty (let's assume for a 1 ton) don't really increase the ram...

    Rear window leak

i never took the truck to the dealers for this (window leak). i don't have time to sit around at the dealers for hours waiting for them to tell me the part is on order or the materials for the window are being mined in China & scheduled for delivery in Jan 2035, when i can just fix the problem...

    Poor FM Radio Performance

since i bought the truck in late 2020, fm reception has been bad. hd radio volume fluctuates & static, so i turn off hd & now it has steady volume & static. wife's camry & my old sequoia had much better fm reception on the same route i take this truck, both has shark fin antennas too. might...

    Rear window leak

i posted this in a different discussion board, & i thought I'd share it with the group. My concern now is should i seal the other side also since some people did mention that theirs leaked. >> i purchased my rebel late 2020 and just noticed 2 months ago of a water leak inside the back...

Post your avg MPG on your Rebel

i used the average of 12 mpg hemi & 23 mpg eco for my calculations. i came up with about 60k miles to break even the hemi. that's with dealer oil change every 10k miles (not sale price), $1 per gallon difference in fuel cost, DEF & additional diesel engine charge from manufacturer. fuel...

Post your avg MPG on your Rebel

:) there is a huge difference between gas & diesel mpg but the actual long term monetary savings on both is about the same. when u add the cost of diesel, DEF, the special oil & filter, & the additional manufacturer mark up for diesel engine. so right now, I'm actually at a negative value...

Post your avg MPG on your Rebel

above is when the truck had barely 2k miles, Dec 2020. now that i have almost 56k miles on the truck, on our recent road trip doing the painfully slow posted speed limit, on original duratracs with the recommended tire pressure. - Central Valley to Vegas 25 mpg - Vegas to Central Valley...
