I think it may not be that simple. I'm wondering if they have different springs for different option groups. I know Carli has had problems dialing in their spring rate for their kit. Those Rebels with the multi-function tailgate and ram boxes sit lower in the back than other rebels due to the...
Nice truck! Fun to have glamour shots of your own truck on their web site!
You're probably correct, but would be nice if they have end up with a couple versions of the HD springs. Costs money to add those options, so probably will be just one HD spring. Those with fully optioned standard...
So....Carli posted another update on the rear springs:
So it seems the suspension on these trucks is more complex than they bargained for. Makes me wonder if RAM has many different rear springs for these trucks depending on what options are on the truck. Either way, it'll be interesting to...
As you point out, if you're going to lift your truck, a lot of those costs would be included in any kit. So it's not really $9k vs $0. It's the cost of the Carli kit vs another. So to be fair, compare the cost of the Carli kit to the cost of some other level kits with coilovers.
This is great news. Where did you hear this? From Carli? From Powerhouse Performance? Part of my hesitation on this kit is that I tend to be loaded down off-road with camping gear. I would prefer to keep a little rake so the truck doesn't squat when loaded down. But I would prefer a longer...
I read Carli's blog saying they think you should leave 37s to the 3/4 ton pickups. They say 37s are too heavy for 1/2 tons. They suggest not going over 35s.
Ok....I finally put on my Borla Touring cat back system. There are many on here who say it is too loud, others say just right. For me? I'd say I use remote start every time now! But volume, yeah, it's a bit louder than I thought it would be. Compared to a Hemi Challenger, I'd say it's a bit...
However, I believe the back end only nets 2" on a Rebel or ORP while a stock truck gains 3". The BDS kit replaces the rear springs with springs that are 3" taller than stock, thus only 2" taller than a Rebel/ORP.
I love the "idea" of this set-up. When I go camping, I've got a lot of gear that goes in the back. My stock ORP truck goes to level when loaded for camping. So the "idea" of getting some lift/level while still being able to haul without going nose up is very appealing. However, I'm concerned...
What offset are you running on your wheels? I've been thinking about the 295/60R20s. Essentially 34x11.8. I may go bigger next time, just need to be sure it'll fit through my garage door opening.
I'm a little confused. You have the ORP and you still got 3" of lift with this kit? Wouldn't you only net 2" up front? Courious how you feel about it after you've had it offroad. Looks great!
