Don't know if it's credible, but when I took my truck in for regular maintenance this week, I pointed the warping out to my service rep, who said that FCA made a design change in 2020, but it didn't fix the issue. He may have been talking about the hinge fix, but I agree that changing the hinge...
I'm guessing some trucks have this issue from the factory and some don't. I didn't notice it on the vehicle I first test drove, not the second one I test drove and ended up purchasing. The only thing I do notice is the throttle is a little touchy coming into a parking spot at slow speed, like...
I think that's pretty common. I eventually sold my dirt bike and street bike and about 12 years later bought a new one and been adding to the collection since.
I had a coworker who is considering purchasing a 2019 b/c of huge savings right now, looking very closely at my truck and asking lots of questions. I showed him my warping ramboxes, told him about the a/c issues, and he ended up changing his mind.
I did the exact same swap using the 11229 from Magnaflow, and like you it was just what I was looking for. My coworkers noticed it right off and were complimentary of the sound. I don't notice any drone myself, but I like the sound at all speeds. Cheap money well spent.
Have you tried using a Samsung cord to attach the phone to the truck, starting/unlocking your phone, starting Android Auto, THEN starting your truck?
That's the sequence that seems to work for me most often. :)
My Android phone completely disappeared from UConnect a while back for no reason that I could figure. I just used the blue tooth to reinstall it and download all my information from my phone again and it worked fine. Mystery.
I cold started mine remotely the other day when the low fuel light had been coming on. I was just walking up to it when the engine shut down. I got in and restarted it -- no problem; went and got gas (about 2 miles). I just figured the remote start was programmed to shut down the truck if the...
Are you sure you aren't hearing your ball hitch (if you have one)? I could only hear mine rattle with the rear window open, so I shimmed it up where it wouldn't rattle.
Just a thought.
I used to use bluetooth with my android phone, but only with Pandora which of course is limited in selection.
It did seem to have lower quality sound too.
May not be what you're hearing, but different road surfaces will sound more or less loud. Around here, the concrete road surfaces are much louder than asphalt.
