Thank you for having me everyone! It's been a pleasure and thank you to all of those that answered my questions. Unfortunately RAM could care less about it's customers, at least in my area and I sold the truck last night. Can a moderator please delete my account?
Stay health and stay safe...
Sold it. Got tired of the run around with the dealerships and their horrible processes to get anything done. It's been a pleasure folks and thank you for having me here and helping me out the best that you all could answering my questons!
Take care and stay healthy!
My problem is, this is a two plus year old issue and they have a fix, but none of the dealerships want to acknowledge it and claim they have no idea what's going on and then have no parts or simply don't want to order them or keep a few in stock. We are talking huge metroplex dealers, not tiny...
That seems to be the theme with all RAM dealerships in the Denver metro area and even ones up to an hour away. If it isn't out of warranty work it seems like they don't want to entertain it.
It isn't that easy. They won't order parts until they see other Star reports that show the upgraded calipers and rattle clips, thus extending the time out even further.
I've called every RAM dealer in the Denver metro. Nobody has rentals but they do have loaners and only 3-6 of them at a time. I asked if they would provide a rental from a rental agency and got laughed at basically.
Honestly,
I don't want a truck I can't get fixed in a timely manner. I love it, it's comfortable and styled amazingly but I think it's time to go shopping. It's just been one excuse after another for several months with this truck. And the fact they don't do rentals or loaners at a lot of the...
So I have been trying to get my truck in to get this front end chirp resolved on my 19 Rebel, every RAM dealer in the Denver metro is telling me they are a month or more out on repairs due to "part shortages" because of "shutdowns". I find this odd because I was able to get one of my other...
Clear as day. Notice the classic side wall puncture on the Duratrak. They knew this is a weak point on the tire. I wouldn't doubt that they stabbed it lol or pre-weakened the tire before the shoot. I think my next tire will be Wildpeaks, STT PRO's, or Super Swamper Trxus MT's.
Adams is about an hour and a half ride from me. I thought about going up there to their actual shop to see what they suggest. I know it will get scratches on it periodically but this is just annoying. I'm also going to lay 3M clear coat on the rocker panels before winter sets in.
They are light enough to where I cannot hang my fingernail on them. The brush I used wasn't really a brush, but it's a mop type thing on a stick. Looks like this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Microfiber-Wash-Mop-with-48-Extension-Pole/45016324
Exactly. I told the service manager at one dealership this when he gave me push back and basically told me to pound sand. I told him, hey these trucks sticker for 50k, I expect a perfect truck and no push back when I come in with a legitimate problem. He could have cared less and then told me...
Yeah, I got the feeling from one of my dealerships that they don't want their guys tied up on something like this when they could be working on something out of warranty.
Because warranty work is not a money maker for them. One local dealership basically told me to pound sand for this issue and one is making excuses and wanting to take forever because they have a "process" of elimination they have to follow when trouble shooting. I told them I have stars reports...
