Monday had ARE tonneau cover installed along with bed mat. Then went to dealer to pick up wheelhouse liners. Brown Santa also came with Gatorback mud flaps. Installed goodies Tue wed & thr. The second liner was easier than the first. Next will be nerf bar steps.
Used the truck to move a small trailer from shop bay to storage bay. After using a 3500 dually it's a real treat to see the trailer in both mirrors. Much easier to backup. Good visibility with tow mirrors. Also got to use backup camera for hookup.
Was wondering about lift points and position for lifting. I put mine up today on my Rotary 10k asymmetric and I'm not sure. Will check with dealer next time I'm there.
I went with the Laramie to get the light colored interior ( no black) and pwr pass seat. I didn't want leather, but there is no light colored interior with cloth seats.
I have had 2 ARE LSII tonneau covers and have third one on order in ivory pearl to match the Laramie which I also have on order. I have been pleased with the fit and finish. They look like they are made for the truck , which they are.
My 3500 that I am trading in has 160k on the original brake pads and was used to haul a 34 camper cross country. Combination weight 19 to 20k. Camper is gone now, so biggest trailer will be about 6k loaded. I will miss the manual trans and appreciate the info you guys are providing the auto.
What's the best way to down shift the 8 speed automatic? This will be my first truck with an auto. I have a Laramie on order. I currently have a RAM 3500 with a manual and e brake so down shifting is used all the time.
