Note that in NC sales tax is 6.75% so the totals will be different from state to state. I bought my exhaust through Jegs when it was on sale last year.

Next the new drivers side heat shield can be installed. Each half is held on with three M6 bolts approximately 1 inch long. I also did not use factory fasteners on the heat shield.
The finished product a 100% OE-style dual exhaust setup on a Tradesman. The Magnaflow is a much needed...
Next, I took the outboard step covers off. I had previously removed the leading-edge trim locking tabs but if you haven’t do so now.
With the outboard covers removed you can now access all of the remaining bumper bracket bolts. I also removed all of the torx head screws holding the bumper to...
From here, the wiring connector for the trailer light outlet protrudes so now is a good time to remove the receptacle. Disconnect the wiring connector and pinch the two aluminum tabs to allow the receptacle to be removed.
Next, using a flathead screw driver remove the insert from the two...
Okay folks, I present to you the first known OE-style dual exhaust swapped Tradesman. I did not use the factory cat-back but rather the Magnaflow system. This thread is a bit long but I tried to document the step-by-step process I used in case someone else wants to swap their Tradesman. With...
For those wondering this is using the element 119 Diamond coating. https://www.element119.com/diamond-hardcoat.html
This comes with a warranty that goes on the vehicle CarFax report to help boost value and so the insurance company is aware as well.
Still haven't had time to go over it with a...
So first off I have to admit an epic fail on my part: I forgot to grab my charge cable and had exactly enough juice to get one pic before my phone died. I'll remedy that tomorrow...
But...the truck looks amazing! It's better than I expected for factory paint and everything is coated...
The coating is the cheap part. This includes a full paint correction before application. If you don't correct the paint first you just have shiney runs and orange peel.
Got pics this evening of the finish after coating. It looks like a red mirror. I'll go pick it up Tuesday and try to get some more pics then or Wednesday.
We had originally agreed on $1000 but I got pushed back a week so he knocked off $100 so $900 total. This is with a lifetime warranty and once it's registered it shows on a CarFax report. I will be going back for the rear bumper, exhaust tips, and the front end once they're painted body color.
So my truck is stil very early in the paint correction phase but I dropped my truck off for ceramic coating last Saturday. Per my direction, none of the black painted surfaces are to be coated as I'm still planning on having the front end and rear bumper painted. Will keep posting pics as I...
I plan on making a thread to walk through the steps. I have all of the parts but I need to get the bumper painted and the shop I plan on going with was booked through the end of the year.
My tailgate has a significant run on the passenger side edge along with a .25" diameter chip. There is also a run on the adjacent quarter panel edge but no chip. I had the chip touched up today under warranty. If the touch up fails I'll likely have both runs removed and the area repainted.
I'm right there with you on the options. I loved my Express and felt it was basically the perfect package for me. That said I do love several of the options my Tradesman has that the Express didn't, trailer brake controls being #1 on that list. It's always easier to change looks than integrate...
