It doesnt change when turning. doesnt change pitch or go away. It starts slow and as i go faster; it gets louder. Then as I decelerate you can hear it easier as less road noise.
Appreciate it. A friend down the road has a lift. I had given that thought. I figure I’d have more vibration if the Ujoints were acting up. It is coming from rear end. Mechanic will check out the axle shafts and bearing when he opens it up.
I already had opened it up and found residual, but...
Well, I have accepted something must be wrong with the pinion bearing. The inner takes most of the load so that is my guess. Could be more than one. Next week local trans and diff shop is going to replace all four bearings. Told him to let me see the bearings when he removes. Out the door for...
I found today that mine isn’t look healthy. I’m going with an aftermarket bearing. I am hearing a whine noise that I originally thought was a wheel or diff bearing.
Open your fill plug. If it’s not coming out it’s too low. I’ll be opening mine up here after May 4 weekend. Im going to change pinion and carrier bearings. Part of me says go ahead and do wheel why I have it open. I should see the culprit(s).
Well I think time has come that I replace my rear diff bearings. I’m at 117k miles and getting a whine noise. Replaced fluid as well. You end up doing the same?
I have a 2020 Ram 1500 2WD, started hearing a whining noise myself. It sounds like to coming from right side, maybe moreso the rear. So tonight i checked Diff Fluid level, couldnt see through fill plug. Drained and found that I was about A QUART LOW. Mind you, I have never touch the rear...
I have 94k on my 2020 Ram 1500. I have never added any coolant and it has that brown sludge. I just checked first time tonight. Never have had any cooking issues and it’s been upwards 100F temps.
You should be higher. If I’m not mistaken, you have off road springs? Those net 1”, reason why you stuck on clip 5. So essentially you’ll be close to 3” in front.
In case if anyone is curious, I tried using 3 spring compressors. Trying to get #6 or #5 position; wasn’t happening for my likening.
No spring compressor method...works awesome. At no point did I feel like “maybe I should have someone else do it”. Take your time. I’m cleaning the Sulflo off the...
