How about runs in the paint! Who else? Waiting on dealer to get back on what they can do along with the tailgate out of alignment and drivers side footwell light non-existent (it’s there on the passenger side). 🤦♂️
It was for sure a Borla Touring system. It is by no means "quiet". I had 4 different exhausts on my 2020 Rebel, and the Borla was probably the loudest while towing. Cold starts were equal to the S-type.
I had the Borla touring system on my 2020 Rebel, sounded great outside. LOUD cold starts, LOUD while towing, and MDS drone was terrible. I wouldn't buy another Borla exhaust, plus fitment was S#!%. Tips don't clean up nice either. I am leaning towards the magnaflow catback this time.
Let's reopen this! HAHA! My 2023 came with the bed step from the factory, still hits (like a gong). Funny that 3 model years later and its still happening!
I am back! 2019 Rebel traded for the 2022 Power Wagon then traded to a 2023 Rubicon (2 more non off roaders after that), and now back 2023 Rebel. Missed the Rebel the most! The PW was nice but never like it as much as my 1500.
I understand that you are frustrated, but it was an aftermarket part. I wouldn't fault Ram for that. Now if this was the same dealer that you bought the truck from then I would have thought they would have disclosed that information if they were the ones who sold you the extended warranty. Fault...
My squeak turned out to be the front crossmember, and front essentrick bolts. These apparently were not torqued properly. Will see how long before they squeak again as it was doing this for a long time and most likely something has abnormally worn. The dealer could not replicate originally, then...
S&B for me. Went drop in, Vararam, back to stock, and now S&B. Very good quality and enclosed air box. Looks great, have yet to see a difference in MPG as it is winter, remote start, and 4WD with the snow. Lets see 1-2 months down the road.
I did end up cutting out the factory resonator and putting the Borla one in. Sounds great, the only issue I had was trying to get those exhaust tips aligned and centered. I got so frustrated that I took it to a guy to adjust and weld. It is perfect now!
So I installed the Boral touring with just the factory resonator. The cold start has about the same "loudness" as the Flowmaster FlowFX catback. The Borla is a little quieter at idle.
Now the Borla is hands down the better sounding out of the 2. Deeper tone, and when you get on it she really...
