Its been that way for a while. they have been changing options on a few of the packages. Not sure why they are changing the split tailgate, but what I do know is that split tailgate requires a diff bed/box design, so maybe that plays a part in it.

Only way to run the wiring is by taking the grille off especially if you have the AGS. Once you know how to do it, it really doesnt take long. Its even easier if you dont have flares.
