Anybody else catch the stitched dash on the 2023 Built-To-Serve Edition? Not sure if that's something new for Big Horn or just the Built-To-Serve Editions for 2023.
A Rebel TRX appearance package would be a great idea if it included the hood, grille, and headlights. It only requires shortening the width of the upper grille piece and removing the vented portion of the under-the-headlight pieces. That's very minimal R&D and the rest of the parts already fit...
My bad, that was misleading. The IHC 3/5 and 4/6 drop kits come with 4" drop springs. You then have to cut the springs in order to get the 5 or 6" desired drop in the rear. By leaving the spring uncut it remains a 4" drop spring resulting in the aforementioned 2/4 drop.
The front is easy it's just a strut with the spring perch lowered 2". The rear isn't hard to drop just 4" drop springs and shocks. You will need a few other components to make sure the rear is centered front to back and side to side. The hard part is designing something to prevent you from...
The V8 is coming to an end sooner than we expect. Performance will not only live on but excel. The ONLY problem is the sound. The aftermarket will not save us because they have been trying to make V6 exhaust systems that sound as good as V8's for decades and have failed miserably.
In my research for the best 2/4 drop I have found that IHC makes the best lowering kit. However, they don't make a 2/4 drop so you'll have to combine their kit with the Maxtrac 0-3" adjustable front struts. You will use everything in the IHC kit EXCEPT the front lower control arms, (they have a...
The Built-To-Serve Edition 4x4 comes standard with the Off-Road Group which has a 1" all around lift from 1" lift springs in the front and the rear. If you set the Maxtrac adjustable strut at a 2" drop and used your Built-To-Serve Edition/Off-Road Group springs your truck only actually lowered...
The xMOD exhaust for Charger/Challenger are compatible with the 5.7/6.4/6.2 supercharged. I wonder if the TRX xMOD can be used on the 5.7 to convert it to a true dual exhaust? 🤔
Wider wheels with a more negative offset would remedy the fitment issues. Lifts, bigger wheels and tires are all hurt your mpg but that supercharged 6.2 is the death nail.
You're speaking my language now broski. The TRX has a wider track so you can add bigger/taller tires but not wider wheels (unless you wanna stick out of an already wide fender). But if it was a kit on a regular track Ram you could put a set of 22x12's maybe even 22x14's and still be flush...
I LOVE LOVE the TRX but it's just not practical as a daily. I would love a 392/6.4 TRX but the way things are trending with hybrids and electrification I would be satisfied with just a 5.7 V8.
If the TRX was available as a body kit: fender flares, bed sides, hood, grille, and front bumper, would you be interested? Maybe Ram or an aftermarket vendor will see this thread and bring it to fruition.
The hood wouldn't be necessary but the problem is the grille will fit Limited lights only...and even if you have Limited lights there is a piece that sits just below that would be missing. The TRX piece below the lights only fits the widebody panels and the Limited piece below the lights only...
There are a few aftermarket hoods currently available: one that mimics the challenger redeye hood, another like the 2019 sema concept trucks, and one like the 4th gen sport hood but with 5th gen fitment. I imagine companies are working on a TRX knockoff as we speak just gotta give it time. Still...
