I'm interested in what you find out on this CEL / HPFP correlation. I would have thought it is simply a mechanical replacement. I had my HPFP replaced on Monday last and so far all has been exactly as it was when I took it in. I have a 2020 ecodiesel limited with approx 46K miles. No...
I don't really mind if they do the inspection other than an extra trip. Since I've had no issues whatsoever with the HPFP, I would have been surprised if they found anything - which they did not - but if hey had then I would have left the truck with them and not driven any further. Whether FCA...
Just dropped off the truck and talked to the service manager about what is involved with the inspection. Was told it is mainly visible inspection but they will pull a few items and check for metal shavings. Was also told they are getting recall parts pretty continuously now and expected to...
I spoke to my Service Manager about this recall repair and was told a similar thing - I need to bring in the truck for an inspection to determine parts needed. I was told the inspection would be a few hours - I'm going in tomorrow (a day before Thanksgiving break, maybe not a good plan ...). I...
Curious to what work will be done as a result of the recall replacement HPPF ... I am assuming the actual pump and gaskets etc but what about fuel lines, fuel filter, electronic controls, and the like? Seems like this would be a good time to have the fuel filter replaced at a minimum. Thanks...
Longhrnlove - Drive it for a while and see if you still love it. If so, keep it. I have a 2013 Porsche Cayenne diesel that had the engine replaced at around 20,000 miles. It leaked oil all the time and as best as Porsche could determine, the lift holes used to lift out the cast iron block...
Do not have this problem with my Ram but I did have a similar (maybe??) sort of problem with another car. The driver's side BSM would sometimes just come on regardless if there was a vehicle there or not. Only happened during the daylight hours and usually afternoon when the sun was getting...
You may need to call AT&T vehicle people and give them your IMEI umber from the radio. I had my radio replaced a while back (~ a year ago) and I had to give my IMEI number since it was different from the one associated with my VIN. They took it and a few minutes later it was working. Just a...
In the category for: What's it's worth ... (FYI - I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited with 12in system).
I too was having issues with wifi; sometimes it worked fine other times wouldn't connect to devices although it showed as on. What was frustrating was it seemed to connect at initial truck...
Same with me. I took it in for an oil change and checkup before heading out on a 2,000 mile trip. They said they are not even doing a list since they have no idea when a true replacement is available. I said, "what if it blows up on my trip?" They said "get to any Ram dealer and they'll...
2021 Limited with 33,000 miles. Oil change approx 7,500 miles. No tune, everything stock. Run 4auto all the time and get around 24 mpg average (based on internal mpg calculator which I have not reset since new), but most is highway, probably 2/3 of the miles. Tow a 26 ft enclosed car trailer...
I had Safelite replace my Porsche Cayenne front windshield about a year ago. But I specifically paid the extra for OEM glass. Have not had any problems with it. Hope they fix the issue for you and at no cost!
Add me to the recall list -- 2020 ecodiesel Limited, just got the official Mopar notice in the mail yesterday. I tried to access the "notify me when parts are available" part of the website but got a message it is down for maintenance. I suppose it will be down until they get the replacement...
I had a similar issue a several years ago with a Jeep. Turns out it was the voltage regulator. Got too hot and it shut down ... everything died. It would cool off and then run fine for about 20 - 30 min and then shut off again. The Jeep didn't have all the modern electronics just a key to...
Thanks for posting this. It is good info. I have a great shop (not dealer) who services my Cayenne and it does not have adaptive cruise. They told me they do not have the proper alignment machine to correctly align the vehicles with adaptive cruise. I was going to chime in on that point...
I have had a Diamondback for a year or so now. Love it. Very secure and very watertight. If you need a fully open bed, then Diamondback may not be for you. But I have to say their customer service and quality of product is outstanding.
FYI - My passenger side visor just broke exactly like yours. I took it in, and still under warranty, but the visor is on National Backorder (whatever that really means). The service advisor thought maybe a couple weeks, but we'll see. Definitely a lot less complex than the driver side visor...
Can't help with the version numbers but with SXM Guardian, try these 2 quick tests. They work with 12 in screen system but not sure about the 8.4 in screen. Here goes ...
Test 1 - test emergency services
1. Turn off your cell phone so the truck does not see it and won't use it to make a...
