I agree but you should see some of these HD trucks rolling around on 30" fuel forged wheels. There are 3 18 year olds that cruise around in about $150k+ trucks. Powder coated military axles and all
So I posted this on the FB forum but that place seems to be a mix of idiots, people that like shiny things and hateful souls and the info will go farther here. There is a 15lb difference in the new wheels and I was expecting about 7-10lbs due to the extra inch of wheel and tire. I expect about...
some of the speakers are out of phase and instead of ripping everything apart to cut and butt connect it to correct the phase I wanted to do it at the harness. My C1 connector was different colors than any diagram I could find so I pulled each speaker anyway.
if you lift up the seat rail mount you can get a large connector under it. I removed the factory sub in the alpine system and use the pre-existing bolts to ground my amp. Willing to bet you have the same bolt hole locations behind the rear passenger seat where the sub would go
I'm having trouble repinning the amp output harness with my picks. What is everyone using? After seeing my new Sub bottom out, pulling inwards I realized all woofers are out of phase. When I listened to my rear kappas it almost destroyed my ears. Gotta get everything in phase.
I replaced everything except the front doors. The front doors are not worth doing unless you plan on adding midbass 4x9s and amping them. The rears output full range sound. What will help is sound deadening. It will tighten up the 6x9s sound.
My volume increased noticeably. If you get the...
Following up on this it's not worth it. The OEM box is about 2.5" deep and even the smallest sub, the rockville 10" isn't going to put out more than the OEM since it's pretty much the same things. The only way it would work is if you slide the rear seat all the way forward and use a very...
you won't get two 10s back there no matter what you do. A shallow 10 down low might work. I'm going to check it out later. I want to know the depth of the factory box.
I'm going to somewhat disagree with this and here's why. I ran an open cone on my turbo grand prix for about 50k miles. I ran an open filter on my drag ski and on my current RXTX. I ran a CAI on my grand cherokee for 86K miles. If you run some CRC or equivalent cleaner through the TB every...
So the epicenter will give you lower bass from factory units and I do like the device but IMO it gives you false frequencies. If they weren't there in the first place then they're being construction outside of the original signal. The epicenter won't interfere with chimes or most dings unless...
thanks for listing an option. I'll still go with my idea since they want $160 for a steel bar setup but at least people searching have what you linked as a available solution!
remove the upper noise baffle and do a AEM dry drop in filter. I gained 1mpg real world in stop and go traffic. That's substantial for this truck and the filter will pay itself off.
Since I didn't get one reply here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to buy 4, 1x1", .083 wall aluminum box stock(linked below), bolting two together after cutting to length and adding tube plugs to the ends. I'll drill through the top and down through an existing hole in the track and through...
