Dealer: Front CV Axle/Diff splines severely rusted

I’ve had front brake calliper brackets replaced on both my 2020 and 2022 rebels due to a clunking noise. Mechanics had to use chassis ears both times to find the problem.

Dealer: Front CV Axle/Diff splines severely rusted

Finally got some decent weather above freezing so I took a video of the play in both from cv axles. I also noticed the front diff itself moves a small amount, maybe it’s mounted in rubber bushings? Hard to tell with all the ice and snow under my truck. Can’t post videos here, weird. Will upload...

Dealer: Front CV Axle/Diff splines severely rusted

I’ve seen lots of videos regarding this and the only fix is to replace the cv axles and stub (intermediate)shafts. I suppose the rust could eventually get bad enough that the splines rust out completely and you lose 4wd as the rusted out side would just spin. I had a cv axle replaced on my 2020...

    Clunk no-more

There’s more than just the bushings that can clunk unfortunately so replacing them may or may not work for everyone. I just replaced my sway bar bushings for the 4th time as I had a clunking noise in the footwell area once again. Seems I replaced them unnecessarily tho as the clunk did not go...

    Clunk no-more

For anyone changing front sway bar bushings or end links, you will need a 19mm deep socket for the end link to a-arm nut. 15mm socket for the bushing to frame bracket. 21mm wrench and 10mm wrench for the end link to sway bar nut. On the 19-22 trucks substitute the 21mm wrench for a 19mm wrench...

    Clunk no-more

My theory is the rubber the oem bushings are made of is extremely hard and very thin. It doesn’t take much wear to start hearing the clunk due to the hardness of the rubber. I have a set of the energy polyurethane bushings aswell, just haven’t installed them as the warranty has replaced my...

    Clunk no-more

I have a fourth set of factory sway bar bushings going on in the next few days, last set was installed over the summer along with a whole new sway bar under warranty. Dealer is 3+ hours each way so I just ordered a set to put on myself once it warms up.

    towing with cruise control

Used cruise control for over 8000 miles while towing a heavy enclosed trailer last April. Zero issues with transmission temperatures or excessive shifting. Even while towing well over 5000lbs it takes quite a hill to cause a downshift with the ecodiesel. In tow/haul mode with cruise enabled my...

Front Sway Bar End Links, possible solution

No split bushings on my 2022, just picked up a set of bushings from the dealer and they are solid aswell. Makes installation a pain, but I can’t stand the low speed clunking. This makes it the third set of bushings on this truck.

Recall of High Pressure Fuel Pump

I just did a roughly 400 mile round trip and got my usual winter mileage right around 27mpg. In the summer I will see 30mpg on the longer trips.

Front Sway Bar End Links, possible solution

Up until last summer I never thought the sway bar itself would need replacing either. But my dealer replaced it along with bushings a few months back. Clunking noise has returned in less than 6 months, sway bar bushings need to be replaced again.

2021 ecodiesel low oil pressure warning

I’ve seen before that removing and replacing the oil filter has fixed this for someone. Would try that and check out the o-rings on the filter before reinstalling it. T6 isn’t the approved oil for the gen 3 ecodiesel, but that shouldn’t be the issue. And an oil additive isn’t necessary with the...

Aftermarket gps tracker or remote start id suspect.

    Regen Message

As long as you do a decent amount of highway driving the truck should regen automatically. If you idle or drive at low speeds a lot the truck may notify you that a regen is required and to drive at highway speeds until complete. Other than that you’ll never get a message about a regen.

    Towing without Air Suspension

If you are breaking frames with a bumper pull trailer you are way over rated capacity. A bumper pull trailer will add its weight to the rear axle, a weight distribution hitch will help put some of the tongue weight on the front reducing how much the rear of the truck sags and providing a bit...

    Just bit on an ecodiesel

The diesel really shows its strengths when towing. No more screaming v8 on the hills and the fuel saved will pay for itself if you tow enough. Fuel filter is super easy to change, it’s mounted to the frame right around the drivers footwell area. Pulling the front up onto ramps makes getting...

    Glow Plug Light

If there were an issue with the glow plugs I’m sure it would throw a check engine light. I’ve started my truck down to -36 with and without using the block heater and have not noticed a glow plug light appear nor have I had any cold start issues. On the Cummins equipped trucks you can get this...

    Suspension Maxx

Shipping isn’t cheap to Canada, but I ordered my links direct for my 2020 rebel. Never got them installed before trading in, went to install them on my 2022 and required the larger sized upper portion. For the cost of shipping they sent me the new parts, awesome company to deal with.

    Towing without Air Suspension

Without airbags I was constantly getting flashed by oncoming drivers while towing my 7x17 enclosed trailer with tongue weights of 500+lbs. Loading my atv (700lbs) into the bed of my truck was enough to do the same. Put on over 11000 miles last spring towing the previously mentioned trailer...

Question regarding weight in Truck bed:

I regularly haul a 100 gallon diesel tank loaded into the front of the bed and it helps immensely on wash boarded gravel roads. Without the tank I switch the truck into 4wd to avoid wheel hop on a windy uphill section, with the tank full the truck goes right up it with no issues in 2wd. In...
