So here is what I did tonight on my 2020 Limited:
1) I disconnected my battery
2) I attached a quick connect jumper cable pigtail (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GU4O3GG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
3) I connected the battery back up

Having followed this post since I placed an order for a truck a few months ago... and having received my truck on Saturday and putting 350 miles on it. I'm actually shocked that I'm getting right at 18mpg while using it to move from one house to another. Keep in mind that I am not weighing it...
Chrisnack - it's an old Indian.... I assure you it spends as much time on a trailer as it does on the road:)
I never go for a ride without hooking up the trailer to the truck before I leave; otherwise, my wife won't come and get me.
Checkmate251 - It might be worth checking the status of your truck. My truck had roughly the same estimated ship date, yet they finished the truck ahead of schedule and is already in route to my dealership. I realize the situation is very fluid and ever changing... but I was very recently...
My truck has been built & I'm just waiting for it to either ship or arrive at the dealership. Hopefully it is already in route... if not, I suspect I could be waiting a while.
Happy Monday! Just got news from the dealer, "The vehicle is supposed to be here no later than the 27th of march. It is built and it is just waiting to ship." It's going to be a long 3 weeks.
I apprecaite your perspective. I wonder if you would feel the same if you lived at 5000 feet of elevation and frequently went in to the mountains. I was torn on which to order & ulitmately went with the 3.92 due to the frequency in which I head to the high country.
Thanks for your thoughts!
For those of you who have a 2020 model and you are having issues – how long did it take for you to realize that you were going to have major issues w/ your Uconnect?
I have a 2020 Limited on order & I would like to know before I drive it off the lot if mine is going to be a truck w/ ongoing issues.
Does anyone have any experience with quick connect jumper cables? I inevitably end up jumping someone’s vehicle every couple of months and I have contemplated getting some quick connect cable to make hooking up the cables on my vehicle that much easier.
I’m wondering what the pros and cons...
I'm interested to know if they got the matter resolved in the 2020 model year. I have one on order & I hope not to be burning up in my new truck come summer.
Looks like they are just handing out VIN numbers :). I ordered the truck 6 days ago and I alrady have my VIN.... now the dreaded call to the insurance company to see how much they are going to gouge me for.
