AT tire with low road noise.

XLTs also weigh quite a bit more with the extra lugs etc. LTs and XLTs are excellent in snow/ice/rain. If you’re in the mud or driving in snowy fields often go XLT but the LTs do fine for once in a while and are a tad better for on road snow/ice conditions.

Hauled about 1,100-1200 lbs, so prob 1,500-1700 with me and the random stuff in the cab. I have Timbren rear SES installed with one inch spacers but the springs kept kept them from contacting. Starting rear height was at 40.5 which sat right at 39” or 1.5 inches of sag. Not bad but I bet...

    Clunk no-more

I’m curious about removing the sway bar entirely and using the Timbren front SES kit they make for snow plow/heavy winch-style bumper equipped Rams. I already have that kit but need some additional hardware

Mine has been doing that since I hit 54,000 miles and I’ve tried Energy Suspension and Moog sway bar bushings. I just installed an OEM set (single piece/no slot) and will report on those after a while. The popping/rattle would always come back after a week or two even with double checking...

Installed a set of Energy Suspension sway bar bushings with the grease. No gaps between the outer edge of the bushings as seen with the Moogs. I wonder if lubricating the Moog’s would have make a difference or not. Saved a set just in case. I also found and ordered three tubes of the Energy...

Just hit 1,500 miles and so far so good. No noticeable changes in height so far. Only had a couple of trips with about 700 lbs in the bed. The rear coils sagged about 1.5 inches making the pickup perfectly level. I had Timbrens on the rear axle but they didn’t make contact. The gap is 3”...

Yeah. Probably just hit it with some emory cloth, rustoleum rust inhibitors/primer and a coat of paint.

Here’s what the Moogs look like (new) installed with the gap to the front; note the gap. The sway bar corrosion has worn through the paint and I’m almost wondering if I need to replace the sway bar. I’ll try a set of Energy Suspension bushings before that.

I have the links for a level after installing set for a 2.2” lift 6112s. The leveled links are 2-2.5" Leveled Sway bar links 2019+ RAM 1500 (SMX-1319L) :: SuspensionMAXX I also had/have the SMX 1319 (stock length) before the level. Suspensionmaxx makes quality products and stands by them...

I ran mine with the slot towards the rear and went through three sets of bushings (two from Energy Suspension ES and one Moog) within 5-6K miles fighting this clunk. So far (15 miles) my pickup seems better with the slot forward on the second set of Moogs. Never tried the ES bushings with the...

I reinstalled the Moog bushings with the slot towards the front last week. That eliminated all feedback through the steering wheel but didn’t eliminate the clunk/rattle. I just put a new set in tonight and will give it a few days before confirming the clunk is gone.

Thanks, been busy too. I experimented with changing the sides and orientation of the sway bar bushing brackets and found one that significantly cut back on but hasn’t totally eliminated the noise/rattle/clunk with Moog bushings. The first time I changed these out my 4 year old was “helping”...

I have a bit over 500 miles since the install; replaced the Suspensionmaxx stock links with their links for leveled pickups. They should be included on most leveling applications, especially if you’re running stock links. The biggest differences are they reduce the harshness on any large...

Do you have a link for these? I just put the extended Suspensionmaxx end links on which made a noticeable difference in reducing the sway bar end link rattle over the stock length links. Sounds like my brake calipers/pads are making an intermittent popping when stopping. Going to check...

Yes after the Moog sway bar bushing install. I’m not aware of any greasable bushings or end links. I was referring to greasable sway bar bushings; the sway bar bushings I ordered from Energy Suspension came with grease for the install but do not have zerks or brackets that do. Not to thread...

If you mean greasable as I’m having a zerk, I didn’t see those. The ones I had included grease for install.

It might be worth double-checking. If you have the same sway bar with 19mm sway bar links you should be GTG. Navigate to Moogs website and select “Find My Part”. Make sure to add your engine, drive (4x4 vs 4x2) and trim. It narrowed down the options quite a bit...
