Well I thought I would follow up with the AC thing. The AC on the new trucks is terrible in S. Florida. I had a black 2012 an never had a complaint about the A/C but my 2019 leaves a lot to be desired. Both trucks were black.
On the really hot days the A/C seems to take almost 20min to cool...
Will do. My A/C compressor was replaced not because it was not working well, it was replaced because it was not working at all. Still don't think the compressor was the problem. I'm pretty certain it was electrical since they still had to have it for another 2 days before after they installed...
My thoughts on replacing UCA's are if you are going 2" or over UCA's could stand to be replaced. I had a 2012 and had them set at 1.7" never replacing the UCA's put 60,000 on them with no issues before I traded it in. 1.7" usually leaves a little rake which IMO looks best rather than perfectly...
We will see with my A/C black truck and live in S. Florida, have yet to go through summer with it. I did have the A/C compressor replaced last month under warranty but have not gone through the heat of summer with this truck yet. Time will tell.
Well I installed the 14" Magnaflow from B2Fabrications. Initial impression:
Install: Very easy, about 1hr. A recip saw vs using a hack saw could have saved me about 10 min. (see tip at bottom for easy fitment)
-Interstate speed-no real in cab sound, hardly tell the difference from stock with...
I got sticker shock from the Mopar lift but depending on how you go the idea seems not so bad.
$265 New Bilstein Struts Front 24-232203
$130 1.5" Rear Spacer (take your pick of mfg's)
$250 Rear Shock Replacement (have not found the part# yet)
$430 Upper Control Arms Ready lift (Mopar $65)...
What is everyones thoughts on replacing UCA's if you run Bilstien 5100's set a 2.6"? Is it advised or are stock UCA's ok?
My last set of 5100's were set at 1.75" but on the new truck I think I will go the full 2.6" and put either a 1" or 1 1/2" Spacer on the back.
We shall see. I ordered the 14" from B2fabrication yesterday. As I mentioned above I had the DOD14 on my 2012 Ram and honestly found it about right or maybe just a little too quiet. I'll give a report back first of the year. The last one didn't sound good until it really broke in.
Great thanks for the response. I always like dealing with recommendations. When I installed the Mufflex on my 12 ram it came from recommendations on another forum and I was not disappointed. I checked out their web page and the work looks top notch!
In my mind I just can't justify $1000 for the...
I see. Thanks for the reply! That almost sounds as though they are making a stock replacement shock and then another shock that is 1" longer for the ORP and it would not actually lift the back end 1".
So beyond a 1" spacer for the back is there another way to lift the rear 1" or so? I only ask...
I had a DOD14 on my 2012 Ram and liked the sound. What is everyone's thoughts on DODNG14 for going on my 19. I'd love to put the Borla S type on it but am having a tough time justifying the extra $700 for it. Any thoughts.
Thanks!
I had a 12 Ram with the billstein 5100 on the front and just leveled it. My 19 seems to sit lower and I would like to do 2 1/2" in the front and 1" in the rear. Are you saying that Bilstein will have a shock that will lift the back 1" as well as the leveling shocks for the front? Hopefully to...
