Both. It would drop you (not all the way, but) close to the Touring sound level.

On my challenger, a cheap phone cable cause me the same problem. Even if I use the original cable after that I wasn’t able to connect(but charging was ok). I remove the radio fuse and a fuse mark as media for 5min, use a quality cable and everything back to normal...
Tonnyplants and donusaf this what I found... Don’t know what to thing about this except that is a redesign on is 3rd revision. So, maybe the old part number with EA on the end are already obsolete!
Everything torque to spec at RAM dealer. I just receive an email from Borla and the resonator should be the solution... Sound agressivity and volume down near touring series...
And yes... it maybe defective.. my experience with tune muffler are:
2019 Dodge Challenger 392 stock with active valve(far the best)
2010 F150 4.6 with Magnaflow
2013 Jeep Wrangler Magnaflow
2016 Jeep Wrangler Magnaflow
Yeah... email them for the resonator solution... but my experience is the same one from other user(him or her with the touring setup). After install, I am questioning myself if the wrong exhaust(attak vs s type) get install? But the box really show an s type...
Forget the s-type right away.... mine was install friday and i don't know if i will return to stock or adding their resonator that will "remove edge" from this exhaust. VERY LOUD and sound more like OLD TRUCK WITH MISSING PARTS than a tune exhaust system. If you live in a place with hills, it...
I just install the S Type and i agree with you...too loud!!! Did the resonator reduce the sound level or the weird "old truck with missing exhaust parts" sound(or best... both!)?
No problem! Slight angle... very slight angle! But enough so aftermarket exhaust(or torque and brake startup ...maybe) cause exhaust clearance. If that resolve my problem EVERY time, I’ll will post the position(more up or more down) in 2 weeks!
My point was just: did your pipe was install upside down at the factory doing clearance issue. If not, enjoy your new Ram. If, and only if, the pipe was install upside down, revert it!
I had this clunk... i was assuming that it was the exhaust(maybe with slush or ice on it) that was hit the bed step or something similar). Today, i went to my Ram dealership to install my new borla type s exhaust. They realise that the tubing that include the resonator was install upside...
