How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

You certainly could, and if you noticed in my summary the shop actually did that before I made them correct it. For me, I didn't want an unnecessary adapter being used that wasn't designed for the rebel spring seat. I have no idea what kind of problems that may could cause later.

    Bilstein 5100

Just to follow up on this for any future Rebel owners going through this process, no the adapter should not be used under the spring seat. I went through this exact situation. The Rebel comes with Bilsteins from the factory, and the stock shock uses the same snap ring that the 5100s use. The...

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

Yes sir, troubleshooting this stuff is stressful when a shop doesn’t have much experience with a particular model. This forum is a great resource and hopefully this situation contributes to its value. And the ride is fantastic. For my truck, it is as good as stock, and that is very important...

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

Definitely should be 7 rings as this picture shows.

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

MikeMarshallau, no I didn’t do UCAs. The balljoints look pretty good on my rebel at #5. If I planned on flexing it out, I probably would upgrade. And yes, you should be fine with the 35s. There is a sticky on this section of the forum that tells you how to modify the wheelwell if you end up...

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

Hopefully this will help someone else out. It was a long process today, but it got resolved. I have a Rebel, so it already comes with Bilstein shocks, and the spring seat sits on the same snap rings that are used for the stock shock as well as the 5100s. (Stock shocks only have one groove for...

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

I’m dropping it off at the shop as we speak. I’m 25 5/8” from hub to fender in front. I’ve got 35s, so the front total is 42 1/4” and rear is 41”. Hoping front drops to atleast 40 3/4”

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

I read through the entire Bilstein thread that has over 40 pages trying to determine why mine is so high. I just don't want it to be an issue later. Clearly something is different about mine. 5thGenRebel_AMK mentioned that the Rebel does not use the included adapters that are sent with the...

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

It looks like it is on the correct setting, I just ended up being high in the front. Now I need to look at a spacer for the rear I guess.... Always more money lol. I found a pic going through the 5100 thread that shows there are 7 rings. Thanks for the response!

How to verify Bilstein 5100 setting

I had the Bilstein 5100s installed at setting #5 on the front of my Rebel, but now the front is an inch higher than the rear, which does not seem to be the normal stance most people are reporting. How can you verify the position? When I look underneath the truck, there are four rings visible...

Really want to tow this trailer with a 2019 Ram 1500

Each state is probably a little different, and not all insurance companies are equal for sure. Its good to hear from someone that has been an adjuster though. I work in finance, and have had 2 different occasions where a customer was involved in a wreck while towing outside of the...

Really want to tow this trailer with a 2019 Ram 1500

I can assure any one reading this that if you are over the payload capacity (which is the limiting factor here, and very easy to do with a 750lb tongue weight) and are involved in an accident, your own insurance company will use this against you. I would highly recommend having a weight...

    Santa’s New Sleigh

I have not been a fan of the brown interior, but your truck has changed my mind! It looks amazing! Do you mind saying how much it cost to clear bra the vehicle? You can also PM me if you prefer. Thanks Santa ;)

Trade Black Rebel Take-Offs for Laramie 22s

Hey guys, I’m looking to trade my Rebel wheels/tires for a set of the Laramie 22s (Milled versions). Any interest in this? I’m located in Hattiesburg, MS and would drive a decent distance if need be. My take-offs have less than 1000 miles on them.

    H&K check all 19?

Turin, i appreciate your response, and you are right. I don't have much sound/audio experience, so I stopped by a local sound shop. They basically told me the same thing and kind of walked me through some info on different type speakers. For me personally, the sound has been good, but...

    H&K check all 19?

I just purchased a 2020 Rebel with the HK system. The large door speakers have diminished sound (low volume, muffled). The rest of the speakers seem to do well. Has anyone else had issues with their door speakers? To clarify, my volume is for the entire system is fine. Gets extremely loud...
