Sign me up, my 2019 RAM Laramie has the stress crack in rear window and leaks. Now the truck stranded my wife and daughter the other day. Truck completely shut off while driving. Completely dead. Looks like RF Hub shorted out because of water leak down back side of cab where this electronic...
Defect in manufactured drive shaft, Ram should recall these POS drive shafts. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 2 wheel drive, only 22k miles....it has been doing this clunk since 12k miles. BS!

It was a temporary fix, grease disappeared after about 100 miles. Defective drive shafts should have a recall, terrible!

We are sick and tired of being without our truck for weeks, no one should waste their time at these clueless Dealership service centers. This is a defect in the drive shaft that needs to be addressed with a recall, this is not a software problem.

Drive shaft defect that RAM won't admit, not a software problem...so don't waste your time being without your truck with the useless Stealerships.

This is not a software problem, 100% defect in the drive shaft. RAM needs to admit the design flaw and issue a F'n recall. Of course they need a re-design 1st. I removed my drive shaft, greased up the rear sleeve area, was smooth as silk for about 5 days, then the grease dissipated again and the...
Agreed. I'm expecting that this grease job we did will not last forever, but wasn't too difficult to work on. I also think you are spot on, even now the new drive shafts are lacking enough lubricant, causing it to fail prematurely. Mind blowing with what we all are having to deal with on a...
Stealership's are terrible, doubt they even greased it up properly...they are clueless. Good luck and I would make them take pictures of the work next time. Warranty so called work is horrible.

Lack of grease in the rear area of this strange design of a drive shaft. You have to remove the rear end of drive shaft (4 bolts, 2 bolts holding a support bracket toward middle). Then the clamp closest to the rear of truck on dust cover has to be cut off (factory locked), then the rear of shaft...
Mystery solved, lack of grease in the odd rear design on the drive shaft. Have to remove drive shaft from rear of truck and add plenty of grease to the area that slides out from the dust cover sleeve. Posted a picture.

They need to remove the drive shaft, take one of the clamps off the dust cover closest to the rear. Slide the rear shaft out apply grease in the weird long extended slip yoke. Mine is smooth as butter now. I posted a pic earlier of the drive shaft and what the dust cover sleeve looks like.

Guess what we took out this evening everyone? Gave up on the Stealership (useless) even thinking they could solve this mystery....well, my Son-in-law (Matt) is a Stud and we found the source of the clunk in my 2019 1500 Laramie with only 15k miles. Lack there of grease in this weird area of the...
