So even though I gave up on the 1500 and bought the 2500, I have still been tracking my 1500 Limited/Rambo’s/Offroad build. It actually went D1 today! Order date was 5/21.
Thanks. The 1500 Limited would have been nice in an entirely different way, but I ended up with this for a price very close to where I was on the 1500. The weight and torque (and engine brake) are a bit addictive. I’ve described it like this to friends: this truck doesn’t drive you — you drive...
I was thinking of waiting until the 5th gen made it to the 2500s, but I needed a truck, and I found a great deal in SoCal, so I went ahead and jumped in. So far, really pleased.
Take this with a grain of salt: when I called Customer service yesterday to inquire about my 2019 Limited 4x4, which will have been in D for 30 days tomorrow, the rep told me his supervisors had told him the ‘slow down had ended’. I asked him what that meant, and he said they had been...

Ram 1500 Limited CC 4x4, Ramboxes, Off Road, no e-Torque) - Maximum Steel
Date ordered: 05/21/2018

Funny enough, as I read your post, the nice lady on the other end of my RAM chat typed: "It can really move on at anytime, but can stay here (at D) for a maximum of 30 days."
I was one of the Ramboxes in D1, but Friday I was back in D! No one could provide an explanation. I signed up on the jeepgarage.org over the weekend so I can try to keep track of it.
From my perspective, that’s the best reason not to get it. I had it on my last Laramie, and it worked well, though it was a little slow to get to get to the enter/exit level, which I never used. I ordered it again on my Limited that is being built, but I know at most I will maybe try leveling...
