Turned out to be the transfer case control module. The part is on backorder for who knows how long so I picked my truck up today and just cross my fingers every time I start it up.
Mine going in the shop in a couple weeks for that problem. I get in and start it up and it will be in 4WD and I have a heck of a time getting it out. At the same time I get a flashing warning to check my 4WD. The service rep was able to scan it and found a couple or three codes thrown in the way...
I would take the advice on getting the engine up to temp and if you don't want to get burned just get it loose and then grab a beer and let it cool down before screwing it off completely.
Well, after five weeks my wife finally got in touch with someone. They said they could not find a leak after running it through a wash and after a rain. We told them that five weeks ago there was a flood and that was when I took toilet paper out to the truck and took a video of it soaking up...
Mine has been in the shop 3 weeks since this past Thursday and haven't heard a word. This being my second trip back. I'm still in their Grand Cherokee and though it's easier on gas and seems to be a decent ride I'm beginning to miss my truck. The day is getting closer I will be hauling my camper...
Mine has been in to the dealership twice for a leak. First time Jan. 29 and this time Feb. 4 and have not heard one word. Called today and left a message and no call back. I have their loaner ( Jeep Gran Cherokee) so they can keep it till May 1st when I will need another loaner (truck) to haul...
Let me add to the complaint list. I bought my truck (2019) in August 2019 and had been checking for leaks since. This past Jan. 29 nearly 1 1/2 years later I spotted it leaking and took it in. They said it was a cracked window frame and replaced it. Now almost 4 weeks later it is leaking again...
Cab leak somewhere above the rear window today. Drop of water hanging off the upper trim so when I felt the headliner above it was wet. Waiting on service to call back now.
I had a Dakota that I could back out of the driveway on a cold start but five miles down the road if I put it in reverse it would die every time. Never did have it looked as everybody I talked to said it was the tranny. After about 3 years it finally did go out completely. Sold it "as is".
My 33' has a rear kitchen which puts a lot of the weight on the other end of the teeter totter. My listed tongue weight is only 500 lbs. If I were you I would distribute some gear in the back of the camper and get some of that weight off the hitch but keep an eye on you trailers max load.
Hello, I'm sorry for the late reply. This was a tow behind. I did finally tow my trailer this weekend and my experience is in the "How big have you towed" thread. Sorry no link. Maybe I just don't have anything else to compare my experience to.
This was my first real trailer tow since I was a teenager (I'm 60). I actually towed this just 5 miles a few months ago when I bought it, this tow was only an hour trip. Did some mud maneuvers to get it backed in. I was in 4wd spinning tires and wishing I had waited til next week. I should have...
No cookie for me. I just don't understand it. I just bought a trailer back in March and had to take it to the storage lot 10 miles down the highway. A 33 footer without any sway hitch and the only real problem I had was bounce when I hit those concrete joints in the highway. Have since bought a...
