FWIW - it added $895 to MSRP when I ordered mine in May 2018 (not that I paid MSRP). Knock on wood, but no eTorque issues in 5+ years and (an admittedly modest) 58k miles.

eTorque also adds regenerative braking and smooths out shift points, per engineering vids.

I’m just surprised nobody is remanufacturing MGUs yet (that I’m aware of). Seems like it would be a money maker. Knock on wood…no issues with my ‘19 eTorque HEMI.

I would think a huge number of fleet trucks used by contractors "around town" would never come close to pushing the range limits, even if carrying contractor gear and/or pulling a small trailer. I wonder if Ram will target this market with a stripped-down Tradesman or Big Horn REV equivalent.

I went with the Falken A/T4W XL in that size to replace the (discontinued) OEM A/T3Wa. So far, so good. Slightly heavier, slightly more capable, plus a 65k mileage warranty. Still evaluating impact on economy, but I’m expecting a modest drop.

It also depends on whether you have the air suspension. The ORG and air suspension balance each other pretty well on rough roads, in my opinion.
