Highly recommended youtube channel is "project farm". This guy tests a ton of man stuff and the channel is awesome. He has a couple video tests on cordless drivers and impacts.
You'll get actual test data vs. anecdotal recommendations. Might be worth a look... warning... it's a rabbit hole of...
I installed the Limited wheel in my Laramie about a year ago and my observations are similar to others.
1) My Laramie was missing one of the connectors on the new wheel and the wood does not heat up on my new steering wheel.
2) The piece of wood at the 6:00 position was damn near as much as the...
Yep, I thought I was in it cheaper than expected until they hit me with the wood insert price. Downright painful for what it was...
And the swap over of all the buttons and switches is certainly not for the faint of heart.
The parts ran around $420 with a "wholesale discount", I'm in the automotive industry. Sadly the insert was actually MORE than the wheel which seems strange??
Sam at Koons Dodge in Tysons Corner Virginia is my go to guy and the part numbers were as follows:
Steering wheel: 6XR9827X7AA
Insert...
For my part, I work in a dealership service department and I'm well aware of the effects of chemicals, etc. on peoples hands that can cause this sort of thing with leather. Being aware of it, I am extremely switched on to it, and avoided any chemicals on my hands as much as I possibly could and...
I also started with just the spacers and found the ride was terrible. Ultimately went to control arms and shocks, should have done it to start. Buy once, cry once.
I wasted time and money trying to get away with just the spacers. It might work for others, but for me the ride was like a buckboard...
I have a 2019 Laramie Sport with 53k on it and was toying with ordering a new 2021.
Using the configurator with either V8, a 33 gallon tank and level 2?
It keeps forcing me to change to either the V6 or EcoDiesel with if I choose level 2.
Is this possible? If so, It's a deal breaker for me...
Not sure if this is a factor for you, but while I like the look of the Rebel, I couldn't get it with the Crew Cab and 6'4" bed. I've owned a short bed in the past and had too many circumstances where it didn't get the job done for my use.
Bought the Laramie, loaded it up and put the Off Road...
Sorry for any confusion,I purchased the Vollkswagen version. Here is the exact verbiage from the unit I purchased, see below:
Carlinkit Wireless CarPlay Adapter U2W for Factory Wired CarPlay Cars, Compatible with Audi/Porsche/Volvo/Volkswagen/Ford SYNC3, Online Upgrade, iOS 13, USB Type A/C...
I bought the Volkswagen compatible version "

I bought this unit on Amazon and it's acutally functioned just about perfectly. Very happy with purchase. Not cheap at $129 but it works and I'm happy with the purchase because... it actually works.
Takes a moment to initialize, after that no noticeable lag...
I have lanesense in my Laramie and tested it this morning driving in to work. Lanesense is still fully operational including detecting hands off.
I'm still thinking it's a wire to heat the wooden top section at this point, but I'd love to know for sure.
The wheel has a rubber insert to guide the...
The insert is the riduculously expensive small piece of decorative wood at the 6:00 position on the bottom of the steering wheel. Unfortunately, the steering wheel leather is unfinished at the bottom so you HAVE to buy and install it otherwise you have unfinished leather/metal exposed.
Interesting, my new steering wheel had a 3rd wire leading into the wooden section. My original steering wheel only had 2 wires on it and my Laramie did not have any additional wires from the steering column to connect to the 3rd wire on the new steering wheel. I've driven a fair distance with...
