Hard to find someone to do this kind of work anymore. I handle 90% of my own stuff but regeared a trans am 2 years ago and ran into problems finding a shop to do it. Got lucky and found a guy in Ranson Wv
So you have messed around with all types of engines and know electronics yet seem to lack the basic understanding of metallurgy. Not all blocks, pistons, rods, etc are the same....thought you worked on all kinds clearly not
Tuners , builders, and aftermarket shops are modding these and putting them in everything from giant go karts to 1st gen dakotas and one has already made its way into a viper recently. They are making 4 digit power too. We've only begun to see what they are capable of. The internals on the...
So even though the hurricane operates at lower compression ratios with better internals you still hedge your bets on the hemi? You and I must have had diffrence experiences with turbo engines my first car was a old Chrysler new Yorker with 150k some miles drove it untill the trans went out, then...
So the hurricane is an anomaly then because this hit in resale value doesn't seem to occur with other makes and models of vehicles with turbos. Could argue the opposite actually.
Driving the 3.0 isn't as enjoyable? Have you actually drive one other than on a dealer lot? I've never had a hemi put a smile on my face like that hurricane does. Towing in the mountians is an absolute joy with the instant torque the twin turbos put out. The performance diffrence is night...
This 80 something subaru has been part of one of our backstrops for several years now. The backstops needing sprucing up this weekend before all the fields get planted . Snapped this Pic before piling even more dirt riddled with old tires and logs and telephone poles in front and on top of it.
Just did a 650 mile round trip to the outer banks of NC. Truck had 4 kayaks hanging out the bed the whole trip but we managed to avg 20.8 mpg hand calculated . Crew cab SO with 3.55 gears 7500 miles on it now.
My 16yo son bought himself his first race car with money he's been saving. Someone started making it a drag car then for whatever reason stopped halfway and parked it in the barn for the last decade.
The hurricane tows better than the hemi. This is comparing my brother in laws 2018 rebel against my 25 warlock. Mpg was similiar. I traded with him for a day when mine was brand new so i could tow my boat. Boat/trailer is roughly 4200lbs.
Sick week just wrapped up down in FL/GA. Competitors race at several tracks over 4days and have to drive the race vehicle between the tracks for a little over 1k miles. There was a 2nd gen Dakota with a stock hurricane engine running low 10s. 1320video covered the truck pretty well on YouTube...
