It looks like the parts may have finally come in, with absolutely no help from RamCares. I'm waiting on confirmation from the dealer that they're able to begin working on it. I can't believe this saga may finally be over soon, assuming none of the parts are damaged or anything.
What I don't understand is that they still use the same part numbers on new Rams that are in production. It's not like this is an old part that no one uses/needs anymore. How can there be zero available for service for several months? Does anyone know who manufactures 68260910AG and 68260911AG?
As the title says, my truck has been at the dealer for the 2.5 months straight. This is the 4th time the truck has been in the shop over the last couple years to attempt to fix the air suspension issues. The compressor runs constantly, I've received "serivce air suspension immediately"...
That's what I was afraid of. It is disappointing that the plastic goes beyond the lip, and that there isn't a guide for where to cut. Did you cut the fronts out too? or just the rear?
I want to install a ham antenna in one of the rear stake pockets. However, it looks like the plastic bed rail cover actually protrudes down into the stake pocket farther than the steel lip does. Most of the stake pocket antenna mounts have clamps that grab the underneath of the bed rail, and...
I needed to rotate my tires, so I raised my truck to OR2 level and put the truck in "tire jack mode" in the vehicle settings to disable the air suspension. I jacked the front of the truck from the crossmember because my jack pad would not fit securely on the lower control arms. After I got all...
By chance, have you noticed if your overhead console is partially dead? The SOS/Assist buttons, the liftgate release button, and the map lights specifically. If it is, this may be the culprit. My dealer found an intermittent short in my overhead console that was drawing down the voltage on...
My upper glove box light doesn't shut off when I close the lid, but it does shut off at some point overnight. I've walked up to that door in the morning and verified that the light is off before opening the door. it turns back on as soon as you open the door. I assume the lower glove box...
Agreed. Unfortunately, it "passes the test" that the dealer is running on it, so it can't be replaced under warranty. I can't wait for it to strand me somewhere this winter. I'd buy an upgraded battery (Optima, etc.), but it seems like there are very few options for the size that comes in our...
Good point. The dealer tested the battery when it went in for the ABS computer a few weeks ago, and they said it passed. But something has changed since the battery died. The battery cranks more slowly, and my dashcam (which automatically cuts off at 12.5v) doesn't even stay on when I shut...
I'm convinced that my battery is now partially bad, since it died. The battery used to rest at 12.6-12.8V after shutting off the truck. Now it drops to 12.0 within a couple minutes, but will stay at 12.0 for days of inactivity. I'm going to take it back to the dealer to try to prove to them...
Mine has come and gone a couple times since my original post about it. It comes back on its own each time. Last time I read about it there was a lot of people with the issue at the same time. I wonder if the issue is on the SXM side, and not with the truck?
When you push the wiper stalk forward, does the cluster say "Automatic High Beams Enabled"? If not, the feature is not enabled (or the truck things it's not enabled). It should display a message when you push the stalk forward or backward, when the auto high beams are enabled.
For what it's...
The search function on this website is very sub par. Many searches return no results at all. For instance, I was searching for an issue with the ABS light being on; ABS returns no results because it is too short. The point of my post is that some folks may have searched before posting, and...
So, basically what I said above. The only detail that post is missing is to release the retainer clips (next to the two screws) with your finger before pulling down on the console. I broke those clips on my console when I first removed it, because I didn't know they were there. The good news...
FYI - I just got my truck back from the dealer today. They replaced the overhead console because they said it had an intermittent short in it that was causing my issue. I won't know for a while if it actually fixed it permanently, but a new overhead console can't hurt.
I just had the same thing happen to me a week ago. Others have had it as well. It seems that everyone but me had their lights go away on their own after a few minutes of run time. Unfortunately, I had to have my ABS module reinitialized at the dealer in order to get the lights to clear (All...
My dealer found an intermittent short in a module in the overhead console, and replaced it. Hopefully that permanently resolves my issue. The rear half of the console went dead 3 times in 3 months. I got tired of resetting it myself, so I took it to the dealer (in its dead state).
Just got it back from the dealer. They had to reinitialize the ABS computer. They think that an intermittent short in a module in the overhead console may have kept the LIN BUS awake, which killed the battery. They are unsure why the ABS computer needed to be reinitialized, but it seems to be...
