Stopped in at a dealer this week. Showed them the video and they could definitely hear it.
Was told that a “low RPM knock is pretty normal for the hemi”. If I wanted to book it in to be looked at then they could get me in sometime in April.
:(
So it begins.

I'm going to take it in. I don't think an engine with 22,000 miles on it should have this amount of slap. Honestly, my 2002 Mustang with a fully forged stroker and extra PTW clearance for the boost has less slap.
OK - here is a better video.
0:28 - I put the truck in reverse with my foot on the brake and the noise starts. It gets louder when I put more load on the engine as well as when the RPMs drop.
1:00 - It can be heard pretty clearly.
1:27 - I put the truck in park and the noise go away. Put it...
Thanks for the input everyone. I’ll try to get a better video. The sound is pretty clear in my original video and in person but a lot of the fidelity was lost on the YouTube conversion.

Hi All,
Since it's been cold in the mornings I've noticed what sounds like piston slap on every cold start. It does go away after the truck warms up and it's more noticeable when the truck is in gear with my foot on the brake or as I'm accelerating (under load). Here is a video that I took...
Anyone? Even just a photo of the belts as they mount to the truck? I'm trying to determine if the middle and passenger belts share a bolt of if they are supposed to be on their oen bolts in the floor.
Thanks!
Does anyone have a photo or service schematic for the rear seatbelts in a crew cab? I’m specifically looking for how the belts attach to the bolts in the floor.
Thanks!!

So I noticed this the other day. I have a limited with the LEDs. I was at a light and my lights were flickering and jumping around like crazy on the vehicle in front of me. Almost like HID bulbs flickering. It was raining pretty hard so I thought that maybe something was getting wet inside...
Good luck trying to get this fixed. I’ve been to two different dealers and gone all the way up to “enhanced” RAM Customer Service. I was told that they don’t consider this to be a defect and nothing will be fixed.

I wouldn’t expect any improvement. You just described my 2015 exactly and the AEM for those only made things worse, not better.
People asked me how I liked my Ecodiesel. I would always tell them it’s like driving a gas golf cart.

It’s also good to keep in mind that some filters will look black even when new. This is because some contain carbon to remove odors. So, going by color isn’t always the best.
It looks like this filter had enough “crud” that a replacement was a good idea.

How about when doing a rolling stop? Say a right or left turn through an intersection? My 15 eco diesel was very laggy in those situations.

So, update on my paint mismatch.
Taken it to another dealer and again it’s worked its way up to RAM Customer Service. Denied and RAM has told the dealer to do no further work on my vehicle. For the mismatched paint or any of my other issues.

Got my truck back after 10 days at the dealer. They won't fix it - they said RAM told them not to fix it. I also received a call from "Enhanced" RAM Customer Satisfaction. They told me that the issue is normal for my vehicle and it will not be fixed.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.
FYI - this is the "flood clear" mode. If you floor the pedal (or close to it) it will shut off the injectors.
IMO, these are the best kinds of problems.. Simple, easily fixed, and a good source of information.. (y)
The crazy part is that I've been arguing and pleading with two dealers AND RAM Customer Care to get this fixed. They just tell me that's the way it is and it's normal for white vehicles. Everyone I show the issue to recognizes that there is a problem, sees that it's an obvious mismatch, admits...
Thanks. They’re Sport Terrain TK8 in dark silver. I put Blizzak DMV2 tires on and they were the cheapest 20” wheels available on Tire Rack that I could make a package out of.

Lol.
Yeah. It’s only these two panels. All the other plastic panels look okay. I’ve been told that these panels are manufactured by another company. Maybe they’re using a different paint process.

There are others having the same issue with the ivory white pearl. This is my truck. I’ve also been told that this is normal. Currently fighting with RAM customer service in getting it fixed under warranty.
