    Power Tailgate.

Someone(s) needs to get stuff out of the back or put stuff in, and they can't close the tailgate themselves? (noting that you don't need a power gate to be able to open it remotely - just like my current non-power gate that I can open remotely) Being "power" only adds the benefit of closing it...

What did you do to your Ram today???

I test drove a '25 Limited, fully loaded. Basically, the same truck as what I have now, except I have an EcoDiesel. I definitely liked that HO motor. It was FUN. Otherwise, the new Limited is actually not as nice as my current one (a '21). My seats are all leather (or leather-like). The new...

    Power Tailgate.

I can already remote open my tailgate. The built-in damper makes it lower softly. No need for a motor for that. It has a spring (I guess) in it that makes it very light and easy to close. I have yet to think of a reason I would ever find it more convenient to close with a remote button than...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

I don't necessarily drive straight to the riding area parking lot, then straight home after. The credit card key sounds like, generally, a pain in the a$$. I don't want to pull it out of my pocket/wallet every time I get in and out of the truck. I'd rather use the fob for the drive there and...

    Power Tailgate.

Power tailgate: Dumbest idea ever. Test drove a '25 Limited yesterday. Loved it. Saw that it had the power tailgate. Crushed the salesman's hopes and dreams when I told him I would not buy it with that tailgate.

    3.0 HO as an OPTION

The Story of RAM: First year of something new, limit the offerings and options. Year 2 and later: Expand the offerings and options. '25 is the first year of the HO. I would totally expect it to be available as an option in more trim levels in later years. For the first year, they probably had...

    Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

So the credit card key only works if you pull it out and physically hold the credit card up to a spot on the door handle to unlock and then on the wireless charger to start? I guess it would be useful as an emergency backup. Can you lock the key fob in the truck and then just use the credit...

2025 Ram 1500 power tailgate wont open - need help please

Apologies in advance. I know this is not helpful to you (@frioman007). I test drove a '25 Limited with the power tailgate yesterday. The truck was everything exactly what I want - except it had that power tailgate. After we got back from the test drive, the salesman was like "do you want to...

'25 Limited and horn when walking away with key fob?

I've read about this plenty of times. With my '21, I can walk away with the engine running and the key fob in my pocket and my truck does not honk the horn. IIRC, that is a setting somewhere in the Uconnect that I found and turned off immediately after I got my truck. I have read on here that...

REV vs Ramcharger - who would buy a REV?

Just because they don't haul or tow more than once a year does not mean that that one time is not their dealbreaker criterion for a purchase. E.g. Homer takes his family on vacation every summer, towing their camper. They only go once a year. But, he knows they're going to do it every year, so...

Ramcharger moved up, REV pushed back

Me, too. Right now, I fully expect the 2nd or 3rd year of production of the Ramcharger to be my next truck.

Ramcharger moved up, REV pushed back

I gotta admit, I feel like I called this from the beginning. Really, it's just disappointing that it took Stellantis so long to make the call. I feel like that delay is representative of what has been wrong in management there. Well, one thing wrong, anyway. It appears this decision was one of...

REV vs Ramcharger - who would buy a REV?

I thought the change to the SST motors was going fine. Are there issues?

REV vs Ramcharger - who would buy a REV?

I agree. I think I even predicted a while back that the REV might get "delayed" by at least a year. I think the market for a pure EV pickup is a very tiny fraction of what the market will prove to be for a Ramcharger-style pickup. To be blunt, I don't see why anyone would buy a REV over a...

    Anyone go 1500 to 2500?

Not in all configs. Some Crew Cab configs only allow the 5' 7".

    Key fob programming

I got a 3rd key off eBay for something like $40 and had it programmed by a local locksmith. I like having 3 keys. Use 2 as normal and always have the peace of mind of that 3rd key stored safely at home, for just in case.

    Anyone go 1500 to 2500?

If those S-10s, Rangers, etc. were not made in the last 3 or 4 years, then that is not really a fair comparison. You can get a 2500 Crew Cab with a 6'4" or even an 8' bed. The 1500 is 5'7" bed in all configs, with an option for a 6'4" bed in some configs. And, the 2500 with a Mega Cab is...

    Anyone go 1500 to 2500?

Well... I did just go on ramtrucks.com and search current inventory. According to that site, there is not a single black 1500 Limited with the Midnight package, anywhere in the country. I think there was only 1 Limited with Midnight, period, and it was Pearl White or something like that and its...

    Anyone go 1500 to 2500?

Generally, fair points. But, let's not forget, the exact same thing applies to a WHOLE lot of 1500/150 truck owners who could be driving less expensive, lighter, better fuel economy, better riding/driving Tacomas or Rangers, or maybe even Mavericks. There is something about driving a bigger...

    Anyone go 1500 to 2500?

I had 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks for years before I got my first RAM 1500. Currently, I have a '21 1500 Limited with EcoDiesel. Last weekend, I test drove a '24 2500 Limited with Cummins. Basically, as close to my current truck as it could be, except 2500 and Cummins. 4-corner air suspension in...
