Finally had a chance to take some pics.
Here is what it should look like:
And here is what it actually looks like.
Not only is it ugly, but it messes up the 360 surround cam view. I can manually align it properly, but then it just pops back to the misaligned position. Can I adjust the...
My passenger-side wing mirror won't stay in place. It's as if the detent has worn out and the mirror sags toward the back. This would not be a big deal except that it has messed up the 360 surround cam view. The cam now has a blind spot toward the back and the view is skewed. Is there any...
Well, I'm 1 day in from having the update applied. I feel like the groan has been significantly reduced. But it certainly was not eliminated. I had this happening for a long time, and I sort of just put up with it. Now this makes me wonder whether letting it go leads to some sort of damage.
We have a Lance 2445. Overall it's heavier than the 2185 and our Ram tows it well. Getting the WDH dialed in correctly was key. This is because the 2445 is almost balanced fore/aft. It even looks a bit like a teeter-totter. So it's right on the edge of the minimum 10% tongue weight. Small...
SD local here too. I used to have good experiences at Jack Powell. Oil changes were fast and inexpensive, and the repair work I did there on my previous Grand Cherokee V8 was solid. But recently I gave up. The last couple times I tried to go in for the fast lane oil change they turned me...
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but has anyone who got the software update for the steering module have the groaning sound return? Or have any other power steering issues since the TSB was applied? I'm about to go to the dealer tomorrow and ask them to apply the TSB. So just wanted to make...
My 2019 Limited arriving at the campground towing our Lance 2445. just a tick under 30' bumper to ball. Tows very nicely with our Andersen WDH once we figured out that we have to tighten the WDH's chains much more than we expected.
I tow a slightly heavier trailer than that, and it's a 30' long box that is easily pushed around by a light breeze. This post is an image of my CAT scale receipt. Note that my drive axle and trailer axle are within spitting distance of yours, but my extra weight is on the steer axle. Long...
+1. Just had a similar issue in my 2019, at about 38k miles. Tried to start the truck a couple days ago and wouldn’t go. Charged the battery overnight and next morning got it to turn over, albeit barely. But truck wouldn’t shift out of first, dash lit up with all kinds of warnings, no...
I have about 2 years and 38k miles on my Limited ORP's original Falkens. The passenger side tires look like they are dry rotting like a tire that's more like 10 years old. The only explanation I have is that the sun is more intense on the passenger side where the truck is normally parked. But...
I get similar mileage with the same truck config and pulling a 30' TT with dry weight ~5500 and few hundred lbs in it. If I cared about mileage I'd drive a Prius and camp in a backpacker tent.
I feel like most of these ultra-light trailers have a GVWR of around 7600-7800lbs or so, irrespective of their dry weight. I suspect that's because they are all designed to be towed with a typical 1/2-ton.
Do you know if this will work with RamBoxes? I have a tailgate pad and it works, but I don't love it. A bit of a hassle lifting bikes over the side of the ramboxes and over the closed tailgate. Climbing into the bed would be better since I have the Mopar bed step (which is worth its weight in...
Has anyone compared tow/haul mode vs. regular mode? I've been towing a lot over the summer but always used tow/haul. I think it decreases mileage but improves drivability since the shift points are higher and delayed. I'm interested in guys' real-world experience with tow/haul engaged vs...
No, we didn't. At first we wanted that. But when we were looking we wanted to buy right away, and factory was still closed due to the virus. Some of the dealer inventory had it, some didn't. Our best deal was on a unit that didn't have it, and so we went for that. Turns out we don't miss it...
