I use VRP as well and bought two of these applicators wondering how long they’d last. Still on #1 using it bi-weekly since March.
Easy to grip and gets into all the grooves of the ridge grapplers. Key for me is to start close to the rim going around the edge of the rim, then going “up and down”...
First oil change at 3000 miles (truck was built July 2019), and 3rd time getting it aligned. First two times was at a local shop in my town right after I put the mopar lift on, and the guy couldn’t get it right. Took it to my brothers a couple hours away and finally got it done right.
The ORP Springs will provide a stiffer ride, but also give you about 1/2 more lift in the front.
I had already purchased the ORP springs when I bought my lift, but after seeing the ball joint angles I got a bit worried,
I have the Mopar kit and instead of adding the ORP springs to the front, I added a 1/2 top hat spacer ($25 on Amazon).
The ride with stock wheels/tires was as good if not better than stock, especially on the bumpy country road I live on. Now that I've added bigger A/T tires (Ridge Grapplers)...
Yeah I have almost an inch of rake. I opted not to do ORP springs.
I couldn’t tell you exactly how much taller the truck is with the bigger tires. The lift alone game me close to 3” in the front and 2” in the back. Tires are 34.6” so guessing 4-5” taller total.
The steps have definitely...
Got her first dent, cried a little. Foul ball at my boys first 8U tourney of the season. First foul ball of the game. Only foul ball that went that far.
When I had the shop install them I told them just put them in and they’ll auto learn (otherwise they were going to charge me to mate them). They installed them and they synced up without them doing anything.
If you are using the SPTA pads from Amazon then you probably used too aggressive of a pad to buff. Trying buffing with black and applying wax with the white pad.
I never ran the lift without the spacer, so couldn’t speak to any difference in ride quality without the spacer.
I did drive the truck a couple days without the new wheels/tires and rode as good if not slightly better than stock. The tires did stiffen it up, but to be expected with 10 ply...
I have the updated kit which didn’t require the additional spacer you’re waiting on.
I added a 1/2” top hat spacer which has left me with I think 1” of rake (can’t remember the exact measurement off the top of my head)
WULF Front 0.5" Leveling Lift Kit...
yeah they are the 992’s. Got them from Custom Offsets, and think I paid $1008 for the wheels and also had them price match the tires. Total for wheel/tires was $2500, and another benefit was they didn’t charge me sales tax. Probably differs state to state though.
With that size tire you should be fine. There is a sticky at the top of this section that is a “how to” for trimming molding. It’s why I did and have zero rub
I’m running 22x10 -18 offset with 285/55/22 (34.6x11.7) ridge grapplers. I have the Mopar kit plus added a 1/2” top hat spacer on the front. Had some minor rubbing that is easily fixed in 30 minutes.
