This is a good reminder to give these latches a spray or something to HOPEFULLY wars off the problem. Just not sure what to spray in there that wont freeze and/or damage anything
Im with you on actually using my truck as a truck. I run near or at payload when im pulling the camper. But a lot of folks run em as just grocery getters
Earlier in the thread i linked to a couple springs. That website was the cheapest. The springs are inexpensive enough that it is worth trying them since you do in fact have a constant load.
Some low hanging fruit:
-pull the negative on the battery for a bit and then hook it back up. occasionally it will act as a reset of sorts.
-You could follow through the radio options and do a factory reset
-Have the dealership check for/perform updates
-be sure what ever device your...
A member did try the standard, non-progressive, springs and ultimately switched to the Progressive springs. If memory serves the member reported that though the springs handled the load well while trailering they were far too stiff for Daily driving and he felt that the truck bounced all over...
Well… It’s still pops and creeks.
I guess I’m on to it’s either the driver side 5100… Or the intermediate shaft thing.
And I’m much less likely to be able to address it now that it’s cold. I’m not smacking on the aluminum control arms to get the ball joints to release to check the 5100s…Or to...
Wrapped up the suspension maxx end links + hellwig front sway bar. First drive and not a sound..but my sound nearly always comes when its wet outside. So we will what happens once it rains again
Im loving my Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent in LT (“10 ply”)
https://tires.bridgestone.com/en-us/tires/automotive/dueler/at-ascent
They feel great in the rain and on the road. Haven’t had snow yet but theyre 3PMS rated. Theyre also lighter than most LT tires which is nice. At regular pressure...
The bushings were the first thing that I tried replacing saddly and even after getting new ones on the clunk persists like a pimple that just won’t go away
Funny enough… I found the front sway bar on eBay from someone who was accepting offers and I was able to buy it for $70 less than the Hellwig website and the free shipping
So now I wait for the front sway bar to come in and I’ll do it and the suspension max and links at the same time
I’ve...
Thats all i did. Top and bottom for A, and bottom only for B.
As a sad side note..my sound is still there. However its far less noticeable..so im moving on to suspension maxx end links at some point. Still debating if I want to just do the hellwig front sway bar at the same time or not.
I didn’t loosen the bolts on the side I wasn’t working on..no idea if thats the best way. But its how I went about it. I did it in my driveway as well and used the jack along the body seem underneath of the B pillar to lift.
To be very specific I laid on my side and actually worked the handle...
Both the A and B pillar uppers were the older style on my ‘23. So i assume the issue extends to later models as well..or im just that unlucky 🤷♂️ I may go back and swap the B pillar uppers out down the road since the newer design just looks far superior.
Once you get the parts this is just...
Probably PART of my problem was that i could just ughadugga them off my self with a long handle ratchet 🤦♂️ i have an extending handle hammer ratchet that is among my most used tools and gave me the leverage I needed.

I have used the airlift bags on two trucks and never bothered with the compressor though. I just run the air hoses and inflate from a single fill point either in my gas tank fill area or adjacent to the license plate. The bags will help a LOT depending on what you’re doing. Like woddy said I also...
