The pump that was installed in my EcoD IAW recall is a CP4.2 variant. The markings on the pump casing indicate this variant has an asymmetrical lobe. Till someone opens one up to determine, my guess is they may have "pinned" the bucket.

FWIW... Hand calculated and indeed my actual mpg was 2 miles less than the computer. However, my trip back saw better mileage, same conditions and speed. 32.5 mpg trip computer, 30.5 actual.

DC to South Carolina today, Interstate, cruise set at 72 most of the trip. All recalls updated including HPFP. Final trip avg mpg 30.6 Smooth and quiet. Seems a shame they discontinued this power plant.
