Everytime I would start playing with the paddle down shifting or running thru the gears I ended up transmission failure. No problems in 4 years since I quit playing with the shifter.
BTW wife's car, but I liked playing in it when I was alone.
Always been reluctant with paddle shifters.
3 transmissions in my chrysler 200 hardtop convertable that I finally attributed to using paddle shifter.
Also how does one know what gear you are in? And I assume like all other things it resets every time you start the truck.
So my question is this. My Gen3 has a towing button that takes it out of overdrive. My gen5 has factory brake control. When I am towing does the truck recognize the fact and keeps me out of overdrive or do I have to use paddle shifter to stay in 7th gear??
It is the plastic piece behind the black plastic at bottom of front bumper. It lowers at highway speed to " deduce drag and increase fuel economy ". A lot of people remove both pieces to make their because they like the Beefer look. Look for some photos of other trucks. Gives the effect that...
I just put Belstien 5100 B8s 0-2.6 adjustables on my front end. Set them at 1.7 which made my truck perfect level. I believe the 5700s and 6212s are more for off road. The 5100s are what comes with the Mopar 2" lift package which I do not believe is advertised as an offroad package.

Use my gen3 for all my towing and hauling for now. By the time my wife retires I will have HD1000s and air bags under the backend. Always looking to the future.
Today finally got around to leveling my 2022 1500 Bighorn 4x4. I think it looks great just like my Gen 3. Used Mopar UCAs 68323530AA & 68323531AA and Belstein 5100 B8 0-2.6 adjustable shocks set at 1.7, perfect for a total level.
