This isn’t an issue exclusive to Chrysler. Many cars with real leather dashes can shrink over time due to heat/UV damage. Can’t tell you how many Bentley, Ferrari, Range Rover, Jaguar etc dashes I’ve seen do the same thing. And guess what? They tell their customer the same thing, out of...
I had a ‘17 Big Horn for three years and loved that truck, did everything well and imo was a better looking truck. Traded it in on my ‘21 Laramie. Don’t get me wrong, I love the 5th Gen, but I miss the looks of the 4th Gen
Not entirely true. Those companies (and many others) offer cutting software, but that’s only if the installer has a plotter and uses the software or orders patterns from wherever they buy their film.
We order film directly from our manufacturers in 50’ or 100’ rolls and will cut most vehicles...
PPF is a full 8-10 mils thick, optically clear and self healing. Nothing like vinyl at all. And at $4.50-5.50 per sqft, material cost is FAR greater than vinyl. Couple that with a more tedious and skillful install and that’s how you come up with these numbers. I wouldn’t touch a full vehicle PPF...
Admittedly I was in a hurry and jumped in the truck, fired it up and went right into reverse before the 12” started up completely. I’m hoping it was because of that. Kind of like trying to open a program immediately after your computer fires up from a reboot. I’ll let it rest and see what it...
No need to replace that. Have a wheel powder coater or an alloy wheel repair company fix it at about 1/3 of the cost of a new one.
If you’re going mobile alloy wheel repair, make sure they’re properly clearing the wheel after sanding out the damage. We’ve seen too many “quick” repairs fail far...
Powder coating super durable as long as you aren’t dumping wheel acid on them every day. Turnaround times can be quick, they’re also cured enough to ceramic coat immediately and the price point is generally quite reasonable.
We’ll have our customers just drop the car off and we handle the rest...
I’m not an Xpel installer (we use premium shield), so our cutting software can be different at times, but we’re showing a seam at the lower section of our pattern.
That said, your seam doesn’t line up perfectly. As an installer, I’d be aiming to get that a bit more flush.
Sometimes a custom...
Nice! Just tinted my ‘21 also. Went with 20% over the factory tint in the rear and 35% on the front doors because my eyes suck at night haha.
Yours looks great!
CarPro Spotless is a fantastic water spot remover. Just be sure you’re not using it in high temps (it’s December, you’re fine) or direct sunlight. Rinse extremely well after using and protect the area with your favorite wax/sealant/coating after
I’m the owner of a Ceramic Coating/PPF installation company. We also have six other shops that do standard car detailing. Started doing it full time at 21 years old, my company and the industry has evolved a ton in my 13 years.
Thanks a lot! I loved my ‘17 BH, but this thing is on a whole different level.
I wanted to go with Granite Crystal, but I have a Tundra that’s wearing a very similar color. I’ve never had a white vehicle so figured what the hell. Best of luck with yours!
My guys will be Ceramic Coating and...
Hey guys, long time reader and lurker, finally pulled the trigger on a ‘21 Laramie Night. I’ve been eying these 5th Gens for some time now and decided to strike.
I’ve never been a white fan, but the Night Package looks solid on it.
First steps will be to toss some PPF on the front end and...
