Yeah, this isn't a brake thing. Best I can tell, it's all ABS related. Throttle goes dead. Biggest frustration is that there isn't any code to case. Traction Control doesn't kick on, no lights on dash, nothing to indicate why the throttle loss.
Still waiting for some Dodge techie to figure...
After installing my 6" lift and 35x12.5's, ABS kicks in on any aggressive or U type turn and the gas peddle/throttle response is nil. Beyond pulling the F26 fuse to fully disable the system, anyone come across cheats or tweaks to fool the PCM?
Thought Diablo Pulsar would help, but it seems...
I'm not here to bash RAM customer relations, but F$%#, they do absolutely nothing for the customer except schedule and coordinate with the dealer. If you have a shi++y dealer, then you have shi++y luck with resolution. That said, here's my issue (hoping the brainiacs here can help):
Ever...
Yeah.....I've been escalated to the regional technician. Apparently he is the say all, end all. But you can't speak with them, or anyone above customer service. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Going to throw down for cross drilled rotors and ceramics....then put her up for sale and get a...
To add......IF your truck has any non-OEM equipment (wheels, tires, lift, leveling kit, etc.) FCA is now telling you that it's your problem to seal with. Head FCA technician is now telling me they are unwilling to do any more for me because of my oversized tires. Funny thing, they are selling...
Currently on my 5th trip to the local dealer in 10 months.....passenger front brake squeal. Originally started on OEM equipment. Thought it was fixed back in April, so I pulled the trigger with some upgrades. STAR has looked at, FCA techs have looked at it, they've turned rotors, changed pads...
That almost sounds like the inner wheel is rubbing on the caliper or something. I had to add 1/4" spacers for clearance on my 20×12 Fuels.
I only get the squeal when braking from 55mph or so.
This is my 3rd, maybe 4th post... I've dealt with being told the issue can't be duplicated in December 2018, replacement of the front calipers, and now most recently, a Ram Specialist "escalating my case" and having my rotors turned and new pads installed. The squeal has gone from driver's...
I'm now on steering wheel number 3. Dodge is saying that's all they're going to do. I asked if I could upgrade to the Laramie wrap and covering the cost since it has a faux plastic finish at the top and was told "no" without any explanation as to why.
On to my other relentless issue...
Glad to see I'm not the only one.... I'm on steering wheel number 3 and forcing myself to stay away from the 12 o'clock position. I thinking it's the fake leather breaking down from the friction when turning the wheel at one point.
Maybe it's the liberals forcing us to keep our hands at...
Frustrated here as well. Calipers, pads and rotors replaced throughout the 3 trips to the dealer. Each trip I've been without my truck for 4 - 6 days. Today I asked dealership what's the next step since they still squeal. Answer I got - from the Service Manager nonetheless..."Why don't you...
I too have had the brake squeal issue..... multiple times now. First started at driver's front at about 4500 miles. Dealer told me they couldn't replicate. Then at 8000 I was fed up and took it in again after seeing the Star report. Dealer reviewed, told me they couldn't replicate again...
No tire rub. I've got a video, but it wont post for some reason. I had went to a parking lot and started doing circles. Truck maxes out at 9mph, no matter how much throttle input I provide. Doesn't rev or do anything. It's got to be an electrical sensor of some sort.
Just left the dealership after having my truck in for throttle response issues when turning tightly. According to the shop manager, the large wheels and tires are triggering the limp mode through Traction Control when making a U-Turn or turning tightly because of high torque values. I have...
All great comments, but still not sure why our 2016 Yukon, which also has a leather steering wheel, with 45,000, doesn't show any signs of wear. It may not be a trending issue, but I shouldn't be going through 2 wheels in 4 months time. Something's off....
Thanks George, But I'm not a watch or jewelry guy. No wrist band and no rings. I do, on occasion, have dirty hands and need to wash them with soap... ;)
Is anyone else having issues with the durability of the steering wheel leather? I'm on my second steering wheel and the area i rest my hand at (12 o'clock) is disintegrating after only 5000 miles. Do I have toxic hand sweat or something? Our Yukon has held up just fine after 45,000 miles. My...
