Makes sense, and I was assuming they were different cameras. Seems like the camera going to the DRVM might be my best. Do you happen to know the part number for the camera that could plum into the 2nd port on the DRVM? I see the part numbers for the DRVM but not the standalone camera...
I have a 2022 1500 Limited w/ 12 inch screen and digital rear view mirror and I opted to not get the trailer 360 cameras since I mainly pull an open car hauler. I see the option for the "Aux Camera 2" (photo below) and assumed I could just add a camera to the back of my trailer. After...
Amen!! I knocked my truck out of alignment a hair after pulling a person out in the last storm...realized my harbor freight special recovery rope didn't have any stretch. Just upgraded to a kinetic recovery rope and soft shackles, can't wait to give them a try!
The break even on the Ecodiesel...
I've seen some posts that it's possible to set the power fold mirrors to auto fold with ignition on/off in AlfaOBD, but I can figure out how to turn on that feature. Can anyone assist? I have a 2022 1500 Limited w/ power folding tow mirrors.
Thanks!
Thanks for the insight, and not bad for a 5.7! I have an ecodiesel some my averages are quite a bit higher...usually 23-25 mpg mixed driving, 27-28 highway. I'm also right down the road from you in Inver Grove 🍻
Bumping an old one...
Anyone running the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W in stock size, non-LT (p tire) and notice any drop in MPG's? From what I'm reading, seems that sticking with the non-LT version has a pretty minimal, if any, negative impact on fuel efficiency.
I'm planning to ditch the oem 22"...
The layout is different and you'll have a button in the lower left to show multiple tiles. Here are some screenshots: aa coolwalk screenshot - Google Search
I have a Galaxy S22 on Verizon, still no coolwalk despite a recent AA app update 🙄
Regarding full screen AA: I'm not sure how bad I want that. It's actually kind of convenient to have AA up top and the media from Uconnect down below - that way you can change radio stations on FM/SXM without...
**UPDATED** 2-22-23
I spent a little too much time researching the parts for the skid plate for the 33 gallon tank, so I thought I'd share here, including hardware alternatives at Menards (or any home improvement store).
Fair disclaimer, my parts haven't shown up yet, but I'll update this post...
Amazing, that's it! Thank you so much.
What route did you end up going? I'd really like to plumb the trailer camera into my digital rearview mirror, but it looks like that's only possible on the HD's. I think the 1500's have a different digital rearview mirror.
Yea I see that guide on the product page, but they don't seem to have the guide for everything. For example, doesn't look like they have the guide for the required wiring harness 82216509aa which is the one I'm really curious about lol.
I'm looking at a few Mopar accessories for my 2022 1500 Ecodiesel - namely the aux camera for a trailer part #82216068ad and required wiring kit #82216509aa but I can't seem to find the install guides. When you buy mopar accessories, do they actually come with an install guide? Is there anywhere...
Based on the photos of the 2023 Ram 1500...it looks like it might have a full screen for Android auto. Or perhaps split with the main screen on the top and widgets along the bottom.
If this is the case, I wonder in 2022's and other Uconnect 5 systems will get this update?
All good!
Good to know, thanks for clarifying! The option to add the trailer surround cameras on the 1500's isn't there anymore and I didn't push too hard to find out if the dealer could add it on their side...so mine is ordered without that option. I do have the digital review mirror though so...
Super helpful, thank you! I did a limited with level 2 group, which has the digital review mirror but I did not pick the trailer surround option... So it sounds like I'd still have a port to add a trailer camera, even though I didn't select the trailer surround view?
They sure don't make...
Were you ever able to get this figured out? Debating if I should try to add this package to my order. I honestly only want 1 rear camera, but not sure if I'll still have the 12 pin connector if I don't add the trailer surround package...
