Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

Update: purchased and received a 2019 1500 Limited with off road package and level one equipment group. Upgraded the tires to BFG All Terrain TA KO2 in 265 60 20 with a spare at 265 70 18. Figment is good. Added an ARE MX cap. Love the truck except for the gas mileage. With the cap and tires...

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

You're right, no such thing as one last question. I have two more. What do people think of the motorized running boards? I have heard of awful experiences with them on Jeeps (rust, clogging with mud) to the extent that they cease to function. Any concerns here? I would rather do without...

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

One last question: regular V8 vs. eTech? I hate the thought of easing into a deep ditch and pausing and having the V8 cut out, and then relying on electric and restart to pull through it. Should I be concerned with an Etch other than the newness of this engine?

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

Thanks everyone. I'll buy the fifth 20" wheel and have them all match at 275/55 or 275/60 as suggested. Has to be a AT KO though. I thought about the Rebel but I need a crew cab and a 6.5 bed. Rebel only is offered in a short bed. And the color and accents are hideous (apologies in advance...

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

No sir, not a troll. Naive? Yes. I'm on this forum to learn. I'm kind of new to owning trucks. I have a 2014 Limited with all of the bells and whistles. I love it. However, when I wanted to upgrade to E rated tires, dealer and all of the well known tire dealers said that they could not suggest a...

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

What size E rated tire did you put on the stock rims? I hunt in northern Maine 100 miles from the nearest paved road. The logging roads are treacherous and a 10ply equivalent is pretty much mandatory. I don’t like the thought of an 18 inch spare mis-matched with the 20s when I’m two weeks in...

Why are Limited and Longhorns city trucks?

Went to buy a 2019 Limited or Longhorn and they only come with 20” wheels. Very limited options to upgrade to a higher load tire in the stock tire size. Further, the “full size” spare option provides you with an 18” tire as that is all that will fit underneath, not a 20”. So it doesn’t match...
