The Ford Maverick says it has a 1500 pound payload
The ford ranger is 1860
The RAM Big Horn on the website says it has a 2,020 pound payload (only 500 pounds more than this teeny tiny city truck)
How does a Maverick that's smaller than a box of matches have just 500 pounds less payload than a...
Just an FYI for people out there. my 2021 EcoDiesel has the Mopar Cabled hooked up to it (part number - 68357826AA) that I did myself. Mine came with the heater but not the cord and the official Mopar part is a much tighter fit with built in connectors that I liked much more than the stuff I was...
It was a great weekend. Headed a few hundred miles to my buddy’s house to do some motorcycle work and took the long way home today through Lake Placid. Took some photos on the roughly 7 hour journey home.

Today’s. I had to be up early to load up the motorcycle and head out to Buffalo New York so this coffee is a ****pit shot, not one of my mugs :( Hauled the big BMW 350 miles and just unloaded it.
ICE engines will go away. Could take 40 years but they're going away. The trucks will get more hybrid, more turbos and more electrical. People will be able to buy a combustion engine from the big three for a long time but one day...they won't. So while the Hemi V8 Ram 1500 isn't dead in 2024...
Loaded up one of my bikes for Winter storage. I don't have enough space for all of my toys so in Winter, I have to put a few of them off-site @ friend's houses who have more space than me:
Meh, I put about 8 gallons of it in the tank once a year so if I have to order it at advance auto and wait 4 weeks for it to come in, it won't be the end of the world. Truck stops won't run out. they'll just double the rice.
How much weight does it add? With only 1000# payload capacity on my limited, I'm really careful not to add anything I don't need. The OEM tonneau cover isn't secure but it is light.

Looks like 125 pounds. no thanks. I'm sure it's great...

My thread is here. For a paid service, I was pretty unhappy with how poorly this went down and I to had it fixed by just unplugging the battery for a day. The dealer said they couldn't trouble shoot it. AT&T...
Something to consider would be reliability. Uconnect4 is 3-4 years old now and has seen numerous updates even as recently as a month ago and so most of the kinks are worked out. You may need to wait 12-24 months to get the same reliability out of the UC5 system.
I'd love to have UC5 on my car...
Here's 13,000 miles since May of 2021 EcoDiesel consumption. First 12K miles on OEM 22" wheels & tires. Last 1,000 miles on winter tires (Blizzaks) and Winter fuel up here in NH. It has a hit for sure but I do most of my driving in the Summer so I'm okay with it.
August was lower because I was...
Sorry JTH. You're obviously very passionate on your beliefs here but there are laws against it for a reason. If your state isn't enforcing it, more power to you. In New Hampshire, it is enforced. It's a big fine and negligent driving to have ice on your car.
That was not a 3" thick sheet but...
