    Adding E locker ?

What area are you around? I like the off-road group but It’s hard to find that with the 3.21 gearing. Most of the trucks I’ve found with the ORG have the 3.92 gearing. That in combination with sport package is hard to find

Has anyone painted/powder coated/wrapped the chrome bumpers? If so, how much am I looking at?

    Adding E locker ?

I’ve been searching for a ram 1500 and can’t seem to find one that I like for the price I’m looking for that has all the options I want. This will be drivin 95% on road, and pretty slick mud off-road the rest of the time. To get the elocker it seems most vehicle are outfitted pretty heavily and...

Another “is this a good deal” thread?

The only issue I see with this one is the chrome bumpers whereas I REALLY was looking for a sport with color matched bumpers. I have seen several posts saying people are getting them sandblasted and painter or wrapped, and other posts saying shops avoid chrome at all costs. What have you guys...

MPG after 10,000 miles Rebel 4x4 with eTorque and 3.92 diff

What app are you using to track miles driven? I can’t seem to find one that is accurate

Another “is this a good deal” thread?

‘19 Bighorn with CC short box. 5.7L Etorque. 4x4, anti-spin. Level 2 convenience, bucket seats, with 22K miles. I’d like to get body colored bumpers but can’t find a cheap sport package for cheap so I can always get them painted later seeing as how this seems like a lower cost than what I was...

    4WD lock?

So I was at the dealer today test driving a 2020 bighorn and came across I believe a 2017 or 18’ on the lot. The 4WD selector had 2WD, 4Auto, 4Lo, and 4Lock. Is 4wd lock a locking differential? As in both tires spin at the same speed regardless of slippage or lack thereof? Please dumb this...

Is the rear diff locker needed for mud?

Thank you. I think I’ll opt for 4x4 with LSD. Do wildpeaks work well off-road/mud? 90% of my driving is on the road so mud tires are a little overkill just for an occasional muddy situation

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

Also, doesn’t 4Lo lock all the tires so all of them have power? Wouldn’t that be just as good?

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

So the used or new trucks that I have found with e-lockers also have other upgraded options that I don’t neee. Convenience 2, this, that etc. I don’t need all that other stuff they outfit the truck with. If I could find a CC long bed with the sport and ORG with locker For under $40K id pull the...

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

So the price of obtaining a E-locker (on the models I have found in my state) is about a $7K difference than the LSD due to the other packages and upgrades that come with the Elocker. Is it worth the $7K? I’m leaning towards no....

What about slick mud on a 10ft across levee? LSD or locker ?
  13. C

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

So would the LSD work just as well as the rear locker in super slick mud? The levees I drive on are maybe 10’ wide in some areas and get super slick. Sometimes the ruts are deep, but you primate I’ll need to worry about sliding off the levee. Would 4x4 and LSD be sufficient or would you want to...

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

This would be for the mud and would prefer to have it locked before I get into trouble... Do the standard 4x4 big horns have the limited slip or is that another package?

Is the rear diff locker needed for mud?

During hunting season after the rains, the dirt/clay roads turn into an absolute mess and people drive off the levees and dikes all the time resulting in a $500 cash tow from a tractor. Some roads better than others, but I want to be well prepared if I start down a passable road and run into a...

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

    How is this?

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

I also need a locking diff and all the big discounted rams I’ve found do not have it of course. I’m starting to hate car shopping

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

By “lift and bigger tires”, I mean maybe a 2” level and 33” tires, slightly bigger than stock.

    Ram 1500 vs 5.3L Sierra

Well, after comparing the price of both trucks (based off cars.com), and after comparing the price of losing 1-2 mpg going with the ram, financially it makes more sense going with the ram. I’ll save probably $10K purchasing the ram over the Sierra. Also, after calculating the fuel costs of each...
