Yeah, I'm really over missing the V8 rumble that I really on hear at startup as these trucks (or mine does) go into MDS 4 cylinder mode fairly quickly. I don't miss the HEMI at all
The bolded is 100% correct. Id add to the last paragraph; I do not go WOT constantly and rarely for that matter. I have just under 4000 miles on my truck and have been WOT maybe 7-10 times but I do enjoy having power in areas where the HEMI is dead, basically 2500-4000 rpm. The hurricane at part...
I hand calc'd my 20 Limited every tank for 2 years, the fuel computer vs hand calc was never more than 2-3 tenths apart and I averaged mid 17's in mixed city driving.
Now, my Tungsten is wayyyy off, it regularly displays mid 18's in mixed city driving but hand calc'ing it shows a consistent...
I haven't see Ram do a meaningful Truck month since 2020. You could easily get 20-25% off then. All I've seen the last few years is 0% for 60/72 months or 5k off and x% financing
I can feel my 20 idling but I attribute that to the VVT, has idled that way since new, it accelerates silky smooth but not as smooth as the I6.
My 2003 idled really really smooth, I didn't know it was running sometimes, i put 277K miles on that engine with the only failures being a water pump...
6.4 is a bigger engine, it's going to use more fuel than the 5.7, even the truck engine. If the 6.4 is from a car, its laughable to expect similar mpg to the truck 5.7 but for sake of the topic, the 6.4 isn't available in the 1500 and likely never will.
Simple fact is this, there's only so much...
Push in hard on the tailgate at the top edge a couple times and it should open. After that spray something like wd40 on the latches on both sides of the tailgate.
My truck does this from time to time, I have to spray it about twice a year
What she's talking about with that midrange no downshift power with the Hurricanes is exactly what I've been saying about the HEMI with regard to driveability. The HEMI is a good engine, the Hurricanes are better, shame on Dodge for not investing in a next gen HEMI/V8 but maybe they did and its...
Sorry that happened to you, I've used them twice and their paint was a perfect match for me as it was for those that told me about it.
Maybe they gave you a mislabeled can or the wrong paint was put in the can, IDK.
Ive been looking for 2 months and found none other than ebay and FB marketplace and they are almost as expensive as new from dealer parts. I may keep the ones from my Limited to use in the Tungsten becasue the oem Tungstens mats are cheap compared to the Limiteds mats. Ive been looking for a set...
One thing I will say that I don't like about the HO trucks is the lack of options in the rear gear. In my 20 with 3.21's, it is easy to keep the shift points around 2000 rpm and that's probably part of the reason it gets the mileage it does, mid 17 mpg mixed use mainly city. The 20 will shift...
I've had something try to make a nest out of the battery blanket, I think it's a squirrel. So far all its done is chew up the blacket and the battery strap on the 2nd battery. If I catch it, im making a hat
