I find it funny how mgu’s are always on back order for repairs, but they can suddenly find enough for production of thousands of new vehicles.

Maybe I’m wrong in assuming they would come through. My vin has my 8.4 tied to it but I continue to get updates after swapping to the 12.1 and this definitely are not the same updates that the 8” would receive. I apologize that I am wrong, mine must be a fluke then. Sorry for the misinformation.

Not true. I swapped from the 8.4 and I still received ota updates on my 12.1 in my 2022.

That’s exactly what happened with mine. No more attempts to update, but the 29.44 brought on issues I didn’t have before

Mine started that with 29.44. If it stays on I close the door and restart the truck, then shut it off and the radio has turned off when I open the door for the second time. Pretty disappointed with this as i almost missed it a few times and wonder if that may lead to a dead battery or if it will...

What was screwed up about it? Mine told me update failed a few times and then finally took about a week later, so I have 29.44. I can’t see any difference between that and 27.46 that I previously had.

I just received the latest ota update a week or so ago. I think it’s the prod 24 29.44. I’ll check next time I go out to the truck to be sure

When I swapped my 8.4” in my 22 to the 12.1” the donor was a 23. It seems to work as well as anyone else’s uc5

All manufacturers have issues, but what I cannot accept is when you do have a problem that’s covered by warranty that they can tell you no rental, over 2 weeks for diagnosis, then order parts(possibly not available due to shortages) mean while I’m stuck with a car payment but the car I’m leasing...

I had the paradox on mine. Sounded great on startup, but had a drone on the highway that I didn’t like. Might have been ok but paired with the hemi exhaust that I have it was just too much. I still have it if someone is interested in it.

Mine tried and I got the update failed message. Hopefully it tries again when it has a better signal and will maybe work.
