Exactly right. And I could have made an educated guess, and probably would have been just fine. But I am one of those "can never have too much information" people.
(I was able to safely lift a Fiero, with the engine behind the seats, but I've seen that done, plenty of times. And my Ram probably...
The truck is a 2019 DT Bighorn 4x4, Crew Cab, Short Box. 5.7, no eTorque.
Does anyone know where the front-to-rear center of gravity is, so that I can evenly distribute the weight on my lift?
Of course there is nothing in the manual.
Also searched here, with no success.
Thanks!
Holy resurrection, Batman! (Yeah... I know. Sorry.)
I have an iPod Nano, 5th gen and an iPod Touch. Not sure which gen, but it's about 4 years old.
(I use iTunes, but the only time I upgrade it, or either iPod, is when they just refuse to work.)
Both of them work fine in my 2019 Bighorn. 8.4...
Not yet. The first guy tried, but says he doesn't have the right equipment. (Or maybe he wasn't holding his chin just right, or something. :D )
I talked to somebody else who said they can do it, but I'll have to call ahead and make sure the "guy" is there, and it's almost an hour from here...
Okay. Talked with a local locksmith who says that he can program Ram key fobs. He's not sure about the 2019 DT, though. Said that he's had mixed results.
I ordered a fob off of Amazon. (Lock/unlock/remote start. Don't care anything about remote tailgate release.) It will be here tomorrow.
We...
I've had the FlowFX on mine for several years. I really like it. It's subdued enough that it sounds like it could have been installed at the factory. But it's loud enough that it reminds me of the big block Road Runners I used to hear around, when I was younger.
I don't find there to be any...
Interesting. I turned the theft alarm on in AlfaOBD. I was thinking I had the hood switch field enabled, and that it "didn't care". But I could be mistaken. It's been a couple of years.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for that. After poking around a bit on YouTube, I came back to edit my post.
The video I watched mentioned "100K". Is it 1K, or 100K? (My anti-theft alarm doesn't care that it's not there at all.)
Your thoughts?
It occurs to me that the hood switch may not actually be "required". It's supposed to be a requirement for the anti-theft alarm, also, to protect the underhood area/engine compartment.
BUT... the anti-theft alarm works just fine without it.
The reason for the requirement for the remote start is...
This is what I bought. Work perfectly.

The description says for push button start, but that's a little bit ambiguous. My truck is pushbutton, but is not equipped with remote start.
My covers are exactly as pictured.
Wow! I'm truly amazed at the disparity of issues, and non issues.
I bought my truck (Bighorn 4x4 w/sport package) in June of 2019. Have ~31K on the odo, now. It spent several thousand of those miles dragging a box trailer around.
The A/C is marginal, IMHO, but probably good enough to pass the...
Not me. I don't really care. I still have the rotary knob on the dash.
Other people were complaining. I have heard of it being set up both ways, depending upon what car it is. Still think it could be an easy change, or even customer configurable.
My truck doesn't have a hood switch. I left that option turned off.
Otherwise, the theft alarm and warning LED both work fine.
Just based upon the other entries (heated seats, etc.) I'm guessing that additional hardware is also required. I added nothing to turn on the VTA.
I think I would just install Waze on my phone, and then plug it in. (Been there. Done that.)
It's way more useful than my Garmon ever thought about being.
I had to replace my rear tires at ~24K. Even running them "soft" they still wore out the centers before the edges. (I towed a lot, but very seldom loaded the truck down.)
I replaced them with the OEM Wildpeaks. My tire guy even had them a few bucks cheaper than Tire Rack.
I never get 24K out of...
The bass-ackwards shift pattern could be made "user configurable". It's just contacts and software. Ram ought to jump on that.
Bury it in the "controls" menu, along with whether or not the mirrors tilt down when you shift into reverse.
Yes. I used a different module, but still used AlfaOBD. There are fairly detailed instructions, elsewhere on the forum. (I followed them carefully. Worked great.)
I don't own a diesel, but since nobody has bothered, yet, I'll venture a guess.
Your engine is probably keyed to throttle opening, and load.
Taller tires will present more of a load, for a given throttle opening. Your trans will likely appear to downshift "more easily" (sooner?) than it does...
