2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

The funny thing about this oil situation is I specifically took the truck to our local RAM dealer instead of the place I usually go to for oil changes because I figured the RAM dealer would have more experience doing the oil change on the Hurricane.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Well, today I learned the negative of not having a dipstick. I took my truck in for it's first oil change this morning. I left dealership and headed out to make sales calls around the area. Later in the morning I was about 40 minutes from town when the low oil level light popped on saying to...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Well, this is a new one. I went to pass a vehicle on the highway and as I was accelerating around them this message popped up. I didn't floor it or anything, just a normal pass.

My first 1/2 tank lasts forever and then it drops like crazy.

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

I've used a variety so far. When I first got it I used 89 and after about 1,000 miles I've been switching between 87 w/ethanol and I've been using it with ethanol. I don't notice a big difference when using the ethanol. Prior to my cel I was using all 89 or 87w/o ethanol.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I had the update done on my truck back on August 26th after the CEL went on. I've put on probably 1,000+ miles on it since then and so far so good. This was the note on my invoice. The only issue I've had since this was that my RamBoxes are a little glitchy. Sometimes they will open, others...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I've put probably another 800 miles on my truck since the software update at the dealership on Monday and so far so good. Hopefully that continues to be the case!

Exactly the same in my case. I keep waiting to come out to a dead battery but so far it's fine.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

That's funny you mention the electronic noises because I've noticed that with mine a few times this weekend. I was working in the garage on Saturday and heard a noise like something was cycling from the front of the truck. Sitting around that night I heard it again and my daughter mentioned a...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I took my truck in this morning to have it checked after having the CEL come on last week (which then turned off a couple days later). They ended up reprogramming the PCM software. Hopefully no other issues pop up.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I went to O'Reillys and tried using their scanner but the truck is too new and it couldn't read it so I then took it to the mechanic that does some work for me and his scanner couldn't read it either. As a last ditch effort I took it to the RAM dealer in town, the one I have the Monday...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Well, on my way home tonight the CEL magically disappeared. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts. I'm going to keep my Monday appointment for now in case it happens again.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I reached out to my local RAM dealership and the earliest they can get me in is Monday. Unfortunately the dealer I bought from is over an hour away but if they can get me in sooner I may have to bite the bullet and go there. I might try going to a parts store to see if they can get it on their...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

The dealer actually moved my old tonneau cover and running boards from my old truck to my new one for me. For the tonneau I have a Truxedo Pro X15. It's pretty low profile and looks really good. There is a massive gap between the back of the RamBox and the tailgate though. I ordered a RamSeal...

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

Today when driving around town I felt like my transmission "stuttered" when taking off. I was always used to my 2019 have a delay when taking off from a stop but this is more of a stutter. It's something I'll definitely be keeping an eye on.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Also, I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the sound of the Hemi. The hurricane is QUIET! It's almost hard to hear at startup. That's about the only downside so far but everything else has been great.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I have about 1,100 miles on my BigHorn now and so far I'm loving it. The ride quality of a RAM has always been nice but the effortless power of the Hurricane is pretty awesome and the engine is so smooth. I just did a mixed trip of speeds ranging from 55-82 and my computer is showing just over...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Well I picked my BigHorn up today (traded in my '19 BigHorn) and I'm really liking it so far. I had about an hour drive home and the Hurricane is smooth as silk. This one has the bigger 12" screen which will take a little time to get familiar with but overall I'm happy with the truck. Hopefully...
