I'm sure there are lots of higher mileage Grand Wagoneer's out there since they've been out since '22 and they have the same hurricane engine. I haven't heard of any real (widespread) issues.
It's a plug and play tuner that they make for many different manufacturers --- gas mileage unchanged -- since it's plug and play, you just remove it (unplug) it from your vehicle without a trace.
Love it on my Limited HO -- all power comes on almost instantly from the turbos. Just thought it put a smile on my face before. Now, it's even more of a beast -- I run mine on Map3 with 93 fuel. Definitely worth the $650
If you like the smile on your face from the hurricane, try the JB4 tuner from burger tuning on the HO. Adding an extra 100 hp makes my limited scream! All power comes on almost instantly from the turbos -- makes a big difference and well worth the $650!
I agree -- it does seem pointless. I guess the unicorn is glad I haven't gotten the vent "update" function as I would never use it since I always use my remote start to cool the truck. Why need a vent function? Just a dumb question.
Just got the jb4 put on my Limited -- wow what a difference in power and throttle response. There's almost zero turbo lag now -- just instant power. Where do you live? I'm in GA and have 93 octane so I'm running 93 octane and I'm shocked at the performance increase!
I just got my JB4 tuner from burger tuning installed on my '25 Limited HO, and WOW, you can surely feel the extra 100hp. I only drove it home in regular mode, but the throttle response and turbo response was incredible -- Can't wait to try in Sport Mode!
My question is, for those who have the...
My '25 Limited upshifts and downshifts flawlessly. Going on 11K miles. My '22 Limited, however, every now and again would have a clunky downshift into first. I never took it the dealer because it would never do it consistently.
Well said -- I had a '14, '17, '19, '22 Hemi, and like you said -- had the truck mainly for comfort reasons while the Hemi was okay, but just middle of the road.
The hurricane on the other hand is off the charts (and awaiting a JB4 tune) engine wise plus all the extra comfort and technology...
Don't bother taking it in. It's the new hydraulic brake system in the 1500s. It's also in the Grand Cherokees and Wagoneers. It's supposed to have quicker braking response, but it comes with the noise unfortunately.
I've had a '14, '17, '19, '22 Hemi in my 1500s, but after having my '25 HO Limited for 9 months, I could never go back. The hurricane is a blast to drive, especially having 4WD on launch with no wheel spin. I also put aggressive 305/45/22 Hankook tires on mine for better handling and an...
