I noticed the same thing, my 16 with 3.21s was noticeably quicker than my 23 e torque with 3.92s. A few things that I think contribute to that.
1- the transmission being different. I think the hp70 was geared better than the 75 which will result in the truck being quicker. And 2- supposedly...
Yup, my 23 does the same thing and it's horrible. I don't even enjoy driving the truck because of that. You explained it to a T. There's literally nothing and then all of a sudden, BAM way too much. The drivability is trash. I notice it even more when I'm driving through the neighborhood with...
Full install vid here-
Finally bought some clazzios. $399 from summit seat covers. (minus the rear seat) issa quad cab thing. Anyways, I ran these on my 4th gen (the pvc version) for a few years and it was one of the best, if not the absolute best interior modification I did. Looked great...
Yes it is, it is dot and sae approved (assuming you get the sae fog pattern) which is the only lense option available for the fog kit! Diode Dynamics stresses this heavily that it meets the SAE J583 requiremnts to be totaly legal!
So it was brought to my attention that I never posted a write up on doing the OEM LED to SS3 fog converaion. stupid me! 🤦♂️ anyways here's the link to the full in depth review on switching your truck from LED to halogen to be able to run the SS3s.
Here's the link to the SS3 kit- SS3 LED Fog...
Yeah clamp is the best way. Don't have to mess with coolant and it does the same thing. Just blocking off the coolant going to the heater core. But you will see an improvement with the K&N
I replaced my cabin filter with a K&N, my A/C is much colder now! My 23 A/C was very weak as well but now I can actually turn the fan speed down to be cold instead of needing it on 6 to be cold.
I have to say, with the stock setup, the majority of my 30 minute ride home on a hot summer day, I had to have the fan speed on 6 to feel comfortable but now im able to turn it down to 3 or 4 and feel comfortable
So I am by no means an expert in measuring A/C temp, but I wanted to improve the A/C in my 23 as best as I can. So I did a comparison between the oem filter, no filter and then the K&N. It was odd that no filter came in second place but whatever. The K&N gave me the coldest reading while no...
Definitely go pro! Especially if you get the SSC2 kit. Huge difference in output between those BUT the SS3 will perform better than 4 SSC2 pros which is why I did the oem LED to halogen fog conversion. But back to your original question, I ran the SS3 sport fog kit (which has a tighter pattern...
There can be, just add 4 pro series SSC2s to your cart and then add the "bracket only" kit to your cart! You'll get the 20% off that way. But personally, the ss3 pro gives better output which is why I went with that over the 4 ssc2's. Jeremy at Retro Shop also confirmed that the output is better...
Yes! Pro and max series!
Edit: ope my bad, I just realized you were asking about the ssc2 kit. So what I would advise doing is just buying the bracket kit for our trucks and then order the pro series SSC2s sperately. That's one workaround since the sale is only for the pro and max series lights.
