If you're having trouble removing the filter the ol' hammer and screw driver trick works wonders. Hammer a screw driver into the filter, and use the screw driver as leverage to remove the filter. Worked like a charm on my Hummer.
First driving impression, it doesn't take much gas pedal to get the truck moving anymore. That infamous Pentastar throttle lag is still there but is very minor from what I can tell. I took a trip on my usual route to work with the stock filter and intake tubing and drove home. I then installed...
Hello y'all,
I got bored last week and decided to build a custom intake tube. I found a 4" diameter AirAid U-Build it kit for $99 on ebay, bought a couple of Spectre 4" couplers from amazon, and finally a high flowing drop in filter. This thing was extremely easy to make and I had a lot of fun...
Was this your only problem? I have addressed this issue along with the fender weld issue and my truck still leaks... About to lemon law this FCA piece of junk.
Unfortunately for me I still have the water leak, it's not as bad as it was but it's still there, only on the drivers side. Service manager is blown away and has no idea how to fix it. He's keeping my truck for a couple of days and will be doing extensive water tests to find the source.
Just got my truck back after 2 weeks, the dealer resealed something behind the front fender and water tested it, said it was A okay. Well, it rained today and I still have that dang leak! I took it back to the dealer and had the service manager look at the leak, he was blown away. Anyway, they...
I'd go with a closed box air intake, I don't buy the whole "it seals against the hood" crap. Unfortunately for me there isn't a CAI available for the 2020 Pentastar yet.
Found an even better deal with the throttle bodies, seems like you can buy a stock Hemi one for $100 and throw it right in. It's 80mm too. I'll try it once I get my truck back from the dealer.
I just did some research and you were right. Seems the TB's can be had from anywhere between $200 - $500. I'll definitely look into that too, would just like someone to release a closed box air intake system or at the very least a smooth air intake pipe to delete that massive resonator.
Oh no ****? Even for these new PUG Pentastars w/ etorque? I'll definitely look into that, right now I'm looking at the RIPP coil packs, dyno proven for 10+ HP.
Thank you, I know it's no Hemi but I'm making a move to Cali next year so the V6 was the smarter option for me seeing how California gas prices are $$$$$.
In the warm start video you can hear a "lobe" that usually only comes from V8's, the idle sounds like my old Chevy 4.8L and it had a dumped Magnaflow exhaust. Thank you for the compliment too.
