And yes @0212353 had a good point. We aren’t getting this done at a dealer and getting a half *** job. I don’t think dealers offer a real ceramic coat. Go to a professional detail shop and have them do it. Plus they will need your car for a few days to do it proper.
If someone quotes you a...
This guy is a bit much for me hahah. A ceramic coat WILL NOT make your paint perfect and immune from damage. It can still scratch and take damage.
The point of a coat is you apply this material that bonds to the paint in a ultra hard layer of protection. Think of it as a very long term wax...
So let me ask this being your 4th coated vehicle do you live in a snowy winter area? How does it hold up over time for you and is yours garage kept or outside? Curious to how durable it is and lasts over time in your experience.
Looks great. Congrats on an awesome truck! Will suck to give up my truck and get driven around for a week but will be worth it. This guy doing it is the real deal so I have high hopes hah.
That’s awesome. This will be my first car I’ve coated. I’ve looked into it a lot and since I plan on having the truck for 4 years give or take and hopefully it should be worth it.
Paying a little extra for a specific coating that comes with a 5 year dealer installed warranty. Should be worth...
My buddy has a good friend that owns a great detail shop in Northern VA. Leaving my truck with him for a week next week to get tint installed, PPF on the front, and a multiple layer ceramic coat.
Once it’s done the Granite Crystal on my truck should just look insanely nice.
Side note my guy...
Congrats. Gorgeous looking truck. I love the body color bumpers on my truck but on some colors that chrome bumper just POPS out at you, red being one of which. Love it.
Tons of factors in shipping sadly. Could be waiting on a train. Could be not enough trucks to fill a train. Could be some crazy back log. It’s hard to say. Mine went quick and yours sadly is sitting. Sucks I hope you get it soon.
For everyone’s sake that ordered a RAM I was hoping Ford was...
My window sticker showed up about 2 days after it’s was built and in KZ. Once I could see the window sticker it showed up on my dealers website as an in transit car the following day. Then like a week after that it showed up on searches done directly on RAMs website. The following day it arrived...
Good to hear. I think people are being a little over critical of the car because it’s not blowing Antarctic like temperatures. Mine gets plenty cold but it’s does take a few minutes at times depending on the outside temp and it’s not the coldest I’ve ever had. It’s a HUGE cabin though and takes...
Hmm is this noticeable during the day or just at night? I actually haven’t driven mine at night yet. I haven’t noticed anything off though. I’ll look today when I get back in
I haven’t had a “freeze” yet on my screen but it did reset just one time during a drive. It went black for about 15 seconds then reset and came back on. My Cadillac did that every so often. If thats the worst of it I’ll survive hah.
I post a little on the other two bigger RAM forums but this is by far favorite. Not even close. The info and conversations around the 5th Gen trucks is leaps and bounds ahead of the others which is the reason why I’m here.
Keep up the good work. Also getting to post and check stuff out on here...
I love the 12 inch screen and it’s super responsive. Everyone that has been in my truck has been blown away by it. This is merely my opinion but that screen is one of the biggest statement items for these 5th Gen trucks. My choice would hands down be a truck you could get with the screen. Biased...
LOL I saw my first 2019 today on the road that someone else was in. A red Laramie was parked outside my gym. I pulled up on the opposite side of him and gave a head nod of respect. Not sure if he caught on haha
