I get that. Just seems unlikely given all the FCA vehicles out there driving with cruise control everyday. But again, there is a slight chance this one off glitch happened. I'm not saying it didn't, just saying there could have been something else happening.
No, that is not correct. You do not have the correct hardware. You either need the rearview mirror with the camera on it, or you need to have the DASM (which is for FCW/ACC/LKAS and as a camera on it also). The light sensor is only for dimming the mirrors and that is it.

I believe that in 2023 it became a requirement and can't be turned off. Perhaps that's what is going on now. They removed the option to turn it on and off now.
Interesting. I wonder if they removed it since it had caused countless problems. I even had the issue and would never use the parking brake unless absolutely necessary which is extremely rare for most of us.
Hitting the lock button or the button on the outside will not lock the key fob in there. At least not on my truck. I've tried (not on purpose though [emoji16]). It always honks at me and unlocks the doors.
Shouldn't have any issues after installing it. You must have messed up a wire or something. You didn't explain what method you used? Did you install the dealer upgrade kit or do it a different way?
